sure, the idea of a korean singer promoting a game in america might be new, but it doesn't mean my comparison is invalid. regardless of how often it happens to OTHER games, it doesn't change the fact it's happening on maplestory and it makes sense.

boa recently released her english debut album. she's looking for more ways to advertise in the USA. what better way to introduce a korean artist to the american world than through a korean game with a decent amount of popularity in the USA?

No, i don't mean that the idea of this event makes your comparison invalid, the idea of a common and normal occurrence (games coming from asia) compared to something that isn't (artists coming from asia) just doesn't really fit with what you're trying to point out.

It does make sense a little bit that she of all artists would be chosen to do this, but it's kind of a stretch. I'm sure it'd be more popular if it was an up and coming/popular american artist instead.

Compared to other Korean artists in general, BoA is only more popular because of her popularity with cultures outside of Korea. If more of those people knew about other artists and songs other than BoA, DBSK, and Big Bang, somehow I doubt she'd be as liked. :|

Hm, considering my hated for MMV's, no. The fact that BoA is in it, does make me a little interested but not enough to actually watch a MMV.

I'm kind of "meh" with Nexon's decision to work with BoA. Her older songs were good because they all had a feeling of innocence in them. Now they're just... ugh.

Well, I do not know this singer, but good luck to those who aim at winning. I'll say, most MMV makers suck horribly at video editing, in fact, the majorities are just a little catchy slide show of pictures.

If one is to make an MMV made out of actual video footage, I'll say they probably have a better chance, drastically.

BoA moving to the gMS community means more sales for her new albums and increase in her fame. Most of you guys aren't even letting the slightest chance. When playing a game, you've got to try it, before getting into it. Just like most of us here. Maplestory looks like a pineappleing 10 years old game, but 20 years old, no wait, even 30 year olds play?!

Personally I don't think it has anything to do with BoA, the fact that "Nexon did this again" just influence you to probably hating her and losing absolutely faith. Not knowing what her songs are like, how her personality is like and who she is.

Is this really a big deal? Granted, I would much prefer a poster and CD signed by a lot of other artists long before BoA. But Nexon won't want a MMV talking about death, suicide or sex, so it would make sense to bring in a.....positive(need another adjective <<) artist.

The style she had before was much different than what it is now, the music was much more soothing and was pleasant to the ear.
