3) Last question, how is Homing Beacon used? When I throw it at a target, do I do more damage to that certain target as well as ignore the other mobs and only shoot at that specific target? Do people max this skill?
1) You still use Double
2) Most people I know max Battleship CANNON rather; but out of the two you said, If you just meant battleship, max Rapid Fire to keep before ship to keep a low cooldown time for Battleship after it breaks
3) For normal Homing Beacon, it only directs the attack towards that single target, but for Advanced Homing in 4th job, it actually adds on more damage. And yes, people do max it, both normal homing and advanced homing

It's entirely passive. As soon as you put 1 in Burst Fire, every time you push the Double Fire key, it Burst Fires.
2) As a Corsair, do most people max out Rapid Fire ASAP or Battleship ASAP? Or is it like half and half? Thanks!
People generally max out Battleship Cannon first. Not Battleship.

It's an attack of itself, and it marks whatever it hits. You only shoot at that specific target with 1v1 skills. Bullseye, the 4th job upgrade, increases damage. I don't know how it works with mobbing skills. Max Homing Beacon. Max Bullseye eventually
From research, no personal experience.

Rapid Fire sucks. The only time you need it is when bossing. When training, your ship rarely breaks (right now my 16k HP ship lasts ~10 minutes at Newties), and when it does, I find myself just using Air Strike more often. You still have Burst Fire, which is in many ways better than Rapid Fire. It uses less bullets, it can be used while jumping (great if you need to step back a bit while shooting - you can dismount, jump back and Burst Fire, mount while in midair and begin shooting again - I dunno if Rapid Fire has a similar application), it has higher KB, and it DOES MORE DAMAGE until you have 5 Rapid Fire). If you're doing a bossing-oriented build, by all means, but if you want to improve your training experience, you're better off getting more Torpedo and Air Strike.
Cannon is your main attack. Max it first.

How good is Himes as a training spot until Peak of the Big Nest or Crimson Guardians become the better choice? Still clocking ~12-15%/hour at 116 if it helps, and I DO plan to max Dragon Strike asasp at 120-130

Himes works really well when you first start 4th job (it charges energy very very fast). It's better to solo himes than to solo peak for a while. Those new spawn maps in CWK are pretty good too.

Like rusty mentioned, the nightshadow map is decent at early 12X for me right now and the badge rewards aren't to shabby. For me, it doesn't get as boring as newts when I solo.

Newties a given though, because you can ONLY face up to 4 Newties at a time if soloing, and they are stationary, meaning you won't be Energy Blasting 4 monsters anytime soon (i.e. DPS plummets when not mobbing). Nightshadows are mobby at least. Not really sure if it's mobbier than Himes though EXP-wise. I'm more concerned about leveling than making money for now; got ~130m mesos to provide me with pots. :f6:

Himes vs Typhoons at around 100?
I'm currenyly at typhoons and I like the fact that i waste no money at all. Or almost nothing XD.
(if himes is faster later then I'd go there, I'm currently making around 16-17% an hour at typhons at lvl 99)

Havent tested yet, but the fact that you dont have to go out and seek the mobs (typhons), would make himes seem like it is faster. But typhons is still good for the lower damage.

himes are good, i still get about 10-12% an hour at 132 with a 9x priest luring to the center (1x exp). for solo isnt as good but pot cost is much lower than peak and about the same exp per hour still solo. only problem is in windia 90% of hime chans are hacked.

Wow. Still 10-12%/hour at 132, only slightly less when solo? Hawtness.
You should do what I do: piss off some Himes and see if the hackers have god mode on. If not, kill em and take the channel.

Just hit 90. Where would be the best place to train? My damage range is currently around 1200-2100.

You should check out gobies, typhons, himes with a priest, or possibly the stormbreaker map in cwk.

So there's no "what to buy thread" in the pirate section, so i'll ask here:
I need to know what to upgrade at the moment. Nothing expensive like Face stompers cause frankly i can't afford anything over maybe 50-70 mil.
Equips now:
15/15/15/17 z helm
+10 dex earrings
8 atk wg
4 dex/4 atk cape
deputy star (gonna change to Naricain pendant when prices stop dropping =P)
6 str/12 dex lvl 80 overall
3 str/2dex lvl 80 shoes
84/9/3 white fangz.
What would be the most optimum thing to upgrade as of now? I need + 1 more dex to wear a level 90 robe xD (53 base dex)
My guess would either be overall, shoes or knuckle. I'm okay with the WG. Cape is good too (got it for 50 mil ). Your thoughts?

overall and shoes would be the best to go for. I would first scroll the shoes to at least 7 dex, that would allow you to wear the lvl 90 overall (unless the shoes help you wear the overall or vice versa), next would be to get the overall to around 20 dex, or even 11 str ~15 dex, if you are now over on dex equips. After all that is done, save up to get a new knuckle, a good ~90 att king cent should be a lil more common in Scania.
After those, a better cape is always nice

Hmm.. thank you much
What would be a typical 4th job build in GMS be? Assume that I'll be paping regularly.
I was thinking the folowing:
120: 1 ds, 1 SI, 1 B
121-124: DS 11, B 2 B, 1 TL
125-130 2 DS, 1 B per level
(that's, i believe, 21 ish DS and like 8 barrage?)
This is where my cousin and i disagree. He thinks that a demo/S.trans build would be better for bossing. I think that a barrage + DS combo is better to boss with, seeing as S.Trans won't be available for very much time (considering the cooldown). Would a demo/S.Trans build hinder my effectiveness outside of transform?
Thanks for answering my questions xD
future warning: i may have plenty more where that came from. =P
