Ask a Bowman Thread.
If you really want more Thrust, you can also milk a few points from AE and Strafe. The last 2 points only gives a 2% boost in damage anyways, giving you an extra 4 points in Thrust.

I looked at what they did to CGs.
Attack #1, which is the sword slice, was changed from physical attack with 500 attack points, to a magic attack. It also became unavoidable (which would explain why the range seems bigger) CG's magic is 800.
Attack #2, the mace attack, is now a physical attack with 500 attack, and it has a value called "attachfacing" which I would believe makes it unavoidable only when the CG is facing you.

This is why the numbers aren't adding up; One's a magic attack, and thus responds to magic defense, while the other is physical. Findings assumption that they switched them is basically correct though.

mace attack is easily avoidable by jumping out of the way, provided you're far enough already to get out before the mace lands. mace also inflicts touch damage sometimes O_o

Yes, the hitbox actually extends when they use the mace. There were a few times over the weekend during the events (on my Hero) that I noticed I PG'd a Guardian, walked past it and could Brandish both the Guardians in front of me and the one hurling its mace at me from behind at the same time. It looked and felt pretty odd. Nexon sure is having a difficult time with hitboxes lately.

Is Pkb even worth putting points into? because seems like ar/ae replace it and in 4th we have db... so im kinda stuck with the decision if pkb is usefull or not.

Unless you decide to go with FA you will max PKB by the end of 2nd job. Most people don't recommend FA so you probably will end up maxing PKB by default.

What about maxing the first job skills insted of pkb and fa? o _ o

You get enough points to max Focus too if you don't get FA, assuming you used the correct first job build and have nine points in Focus already. That's the only 1st job skill you should be going back and maxing.

Nowadays, how useful is Inferno training wise? I can't think of a single place I wud use it. (I train at NightShadows)

I dont use it to lure (I run thru mobs with AR if I need it), I dont train at fire weak mobs, and I only have it cuz it looks pretty (Lvl1 XDDDD).

It's pretty good just as a ranged mobbing skill on neutral monsters and completely replaces the need for Arrow Bomb except on Fire-resistant mobs. Bomb has a crappy impact damage that won't KB anything and a stun rate that leaves half the monsters stunned and the other half pissed off, and does pomegranatety damage. Both Bomb and Inferno stop being useful after you have a good level of Hurricane, though, since BMs mobbing skills suck in general and need to hit a good 5 monsters to be worth using over Hurricane.

I still use Inferno often on my 12x BM, but it's entirely based on how you play. I dunno how you'd find Inferno useless at Nightshadows unless you're already 13x+, though o_o

You will never need it. Ever. It was useless when it came out, and it's just as (if not even more) worthless today. I've never used Inferno for anything, and I had no trouble getting to a high level. During old school Squid parties, if I needed a lure, I just used Bomb. For any kind of mobs, I have and will always use Arrow Rain. The only attacking skills I use now are Hurricane and Arrow Rain (with Phoenix as support). Nothing else is needed. Period.

Maybe some people can work it into their training methods. But it's unnecessary and absolutely not required.

I train in that room with only NightShadows (after guardians) with my hermit hubby and my bishop outside HS/MW/Bless. I use AR at the top and run thru them to lure to 1 side o.O 1 finger on pot, 1 finger on AR, runnn to the corner and puppet up and AR them to death o.O i never touched inferno except for fun xD

I like AR a lot. I can see myself using it as a mob skill for the rest of my lil archer life ^^

Thanks for feedback, you two =)

Nightshadows, provided you can't kill them fast enough to just Hurricane them all: DB -> Inferno -> Puppet -> kill with Inferno. Luring things with AR and Puppeting up top just slows you down. Inferno keeps you from getting hit without the need to go onto a special sniping platform.

If you don't have Inferno, replace with Bomb if desired. I hate Arrow Bomb though.

for luring, lv 1 inferno is enough. why would anyone kill with it is beyond me though. might as well use hurricane and db, dont puppet, just keep them at a distance.

Max Inferno is much better at killing than Hurricane is when faced with a large mob. It keeps them KBed better, and does more damage.

That's why I said provided you can't kill fast enough with Hurricane yet o_o

My BM's Hurricane is level 1. Mobbing still does far more damage. And trying to take out a mob of Nightshadows with 1 Hurricane as a level 123 BM doesn't work too well.

fixed it for ya.

and db keeps them kbed, so would bomb, as far as i know bomb does more dmg unless they fire weak so still you got better options.

Biggrin Im lvl 106~ no DB or Hurricane yet :x i do fine in Nightshadows cuz i have fairly decent gear (4/8 cape, 15wa glove, 110 blue metus xD i love its fast speed)

so for now~ AR is my best frnd xD

Bomb does less damage than Inferno o_o

Uh, what? Inferno does more damage than MAX Hurricane on mobs of 5+, even if the monsters aren't fire weak. 4+ If they are fire weak, but that's not likely to happen until Time Temple. Arrow Bomb does less damage than 21+ Inferno.
