So far facing Crasher Wake.

I'm so awesome I lost to the not-rival in jubilife city for the 4th time now.

i dont rly like platinum...theres nothing new..
sure theres new wifi and new pokemon forms but so wat?

I'm looking forward to getting it, even though I have Pearl. There's much more to do than Pearl and the animation looks crisper. Too bad I don't have a car up here in college to get the game...

I think it'll take more than 10 hours (the talking alone should waste plenty of time) but I don't see how older pokemon games are any harder in terms of speed runs. Besides, the real draw to platinum are probably the emerald like battle facilities and tutor moves.

Personally, I just got to the first gym but didn't go in yet. I'm actually raising a Bidoof this time (and no Shinx or Budew), but she'll probably end up as the HM mule as I move on. I must say that even though they only added a little shading to the move selection window, it looks way better than before. I hope they upped the speed of swimming back to the 3rd gen speed.

Oh, and my character is named "Magus", my rival is named "Glenn" and there's an NPC wandering around named "Cyrus." Coincidence? I think not.

No, it really does take 10 hours. There's a feature if you make talking speed 0 (I think) it just instantly shows up. I have all these settings and etc set up for a speed run's case. So before I start the game, text speed: instant, and does not show Pokemon attacks/effects etc.


On Topic:
I transfered my diamond Pokemon I'm currently EV training. I swear the platinum Elite four (with the higher leveled Pokemon) does me good <3.

Speed run in older Pokemon games such as B/R/Y takes longer because of the no running feature plus a higher leveled elite four.

G/S/C takes awhile to get up to red, but if you consider 8 badges and the elite four in that game beating it, it takes 8 hours with a like level 60 Typloshion and a few other scapegoat Pokemon.

R/S/E was just really easy in my opinion. I mean come on, level 58 max on elite four -_-. EMERALD was just sad. I liked the type differences in the final boss, but it turns out to be all water Pokemon.

D/P/P (lol PP) The elite four was upgraded, but new powerful Pokemon were introduced so yeah/

I already beat Platinum 3 months ago on the JP version. I don't see whats the point for meh to play Platinum again (Probably to understand the storyline)..

I do have the power to move my JP Pokemans to the EN version if I play via Flash cart though..

During a battle on the day Platinum was released, I was battling someone that had 4 legendaries and two normal pokes and I totally wiped him out while I lose only two Pokemon.. My 91 Garchomp took out his vl 100 Rayquaza in one hit using Outrage with no Swords Dance used..

Got the English version like 5 days before release, played it for about 10 hours then haven't picked it up since. For some reason I don't have the ambition to continue playing another Pokemon, AGAIN.

I lol'd at the chrono trigger coincidence. Somehow, I managed to copy yours without knowing it naming my character ''Frog'' and the rival ''Magus'' XD.
