Magatia Drops

Well...if you haven't realized it already, the Magatia drops that we got (the leaves, and the lumber) that we thought were simply random KMS event drops, are for the event quests going on now! -Facepalm-

No wonder Prose said that we should keep the drops we get from there....

I feel so foolish just dropping them.

It wasn't like they did it on purpose. Notice that a lot of that crap is still dropping and a lot of it is useless. There was also no way for most people to know which ones they needed.

There are two events both start from Casandra.

First involves collecting lumber (I had to get 30 for the 70+ version). Lumber drops semi common so it shouldn't be a problem and I presume it drops from all monsters (verified so far from mobs outside kerning and el nath). You finish by talking to Casandra. Reward is about 80k exp for the 70+ version.

Second involves getting leaves and then saying the right responses to the finishing npc (no penalty for saying the wrong answer other than having to click through text again). The leaf drop isn't that bad either and I've verified that it can be found from leafre mobs while doing the 70+ quest. Finish npc is a monster npc found by the entrance to the kentaur area (red). Reward is about 80k exp for the 70+ version and a branch nose. Branch nose is a face item that has a time limit and may have a +~ to one of the main stats. It can be scrolled with that honey stuff you will find for a chance to raise or lower the stats (kind of like the maple leaf from the previous event).

Possible errors in my explanation: lvl limit may start at 71, certain areas (like masteria) may not drop lumber and leaves, unknown if leaves only drop from monsters within the quest lvl range.

I got 100,487 EXP for completing it on my BM, so it seems the EXP is scaled to more than 10-30/30-70/71+.

And I got about 49k exp on my WK.

I got the same exp as Issac at 156. ~100K.

Just think about how much exp it'd be at levels 180-199 if it were % based .

The exp is by level, a decreasing % but still increasing amount. Exactly like the Maple Leaf event.

A tip about the exp: if you are wearing your branch nose when turning in the Lumber quest, you will only get half the exp and a Liar Tree Sap. So remember to unequip the nose before talking to Cassandra!

On my 61 Gunslinger I get 17600 exp.

Yea, i got 45923 exp. Exactly 1%. And it's repeatable every hour? Wow. <3

Uh, I got some odd 100,037 exp for finishing the quest. 1% exp for me is on the order of 1 million o.O

Why would they? Like Isaac said, everything was copypasta from the Magatia of another version. The drops weren't intentional - it is just a coincidence that the things we need are dropped in Magatia. That's all.

The exp isn't directly based on what level you are. It's just based on what quest you got, which is based on what level you are. If you're level 70+, you have to collect yellow leaves and lumber, and you get 100k+some random numbers exp. If you're around level 36 you have to collect pink leaves and lumber, and you get 4k+some random numbers exp. I don't know the actual level bounds, I just did the quest on my BM, my Corsair, and my Bandit.

The exp isn't worth it at all unless you're close to the minimum level for doing the quest - I get about 100k exp in one minute at Newties, this quest takes a good 5 minutes and can only be done once an hour.

It is definitely based on your level. It isn't just a coincidence that i got exactly 1% for my lvl (85).
They probably give you like 1% for your level in a certain range, and others in other ranges.

I went from 50.51% to 51.72% at lvl70, so I think it's 1% before 120, as my sister got 1% at her lvl22 xbow too.
