Reporting, and Infraction disputes -UPDATED-

"hijacking" implies deliberately derailing a thread for your own use.
I think he was referring to the Southperrica example.

Report doesn't necessarily imply infract. A thread move would do it.

You need to make the image smaller. What you had was a full on desktop wallpaper and that's way too big for a signature. It may have looked like only the top hundred pixels or so were showing in your posts, but in your profile it shows that whole gigantic image and that's not ok. If you only want the top 300px or whatever to show, crop it down and reupload it somewhere.

Yes, this is an important thing to take note of. A report doesn't necessarily have to end in someone receiving an infraction. By reporting it, you're essentially just letting the mods know that something is wrong. If a thread's in the wrong section, then we'll just move it. No one gets an infraction. Accidental double post, we'll just merge it, no infraction.

i am aware of the ignore list, but can i ask...
how do you report PMs? there is not a report button that i can see! is the absence of aforesaid report button a hint that i should just use the ignore list?

thanks Smile

In this case, the best thing to do is to forward the offending PM to an admin or moderator, unless it's something you wouldn't want to force other people to see (Which has happened in the past) or at least PM one of us stating that you're beign harassed over PMs.
