Bit sick, actually. Nothing much, just cold + spring allergies combining forces...

Anyway, since I slept through the afternoon (boo), I don't feel the need to get to bed anytime soon (yay).

Sucky game of Dota just now. Rolleyes

I'm not procrastinating, I just don't want to go to class tomorrow. Arg.

Tomorrow night I get to make jello shots for my brother's girlfriend's birthday. Huzzah girliness.

Ugh. I'm getting really tired of all the sick people around. My roommate is disgustingly sick, the girl I sit next to in English is sick and the girl who sits behind me in Math is sick too. The hell is going on?? I don't want to get sick! Sucks about the Spring allergies. Thankfully I don't have any, but I do have very bad allergies in the Autumn.

I skipped Bio this morning to sleep until noon. Big Grin It was marvelous. You should get to sleep, though, sick boy. Get better!

Which class?
Jello shots? Sounds awesome. Definitely more potential right there than my tomorrow (today).

As long as it's workable, put it off as long as possible. That's the spirit.

I'm so glad my schedule this semester is incredible (I set it up so I only have classes Mon-Thur). It really makes me feel good when the weekend comes around. And I shouldn't even have any homework to do once I get this paper done...aww yeah. Relaxation + Laziness x 2 here I come.

Oh, and it's FINALLY warming up here (in the 40's F). It's been so good walking around outside in just my T-shirt again. It'll be great to have my daily walks back.

Anatomy. I've got a practical next week, and an exam this Friday. The exam is on the brain/nervous system, and the practical is on the bones of the skull and the muscles of the body. But birthdays must be celebrated properly, and I'm really lazy to study.

[edit:] Yay, we actually won this game. Thank god, I was really beginning to get exasperated with nubass teammates all night.

i don't imagine that's allowed where you are Tongue

4 days is a nice setup... i have set up my semesters to have classes only 3 days a week for the next two years! definitely looking forward to that.

i did not enjoy anatomy at all. do you have to do developmental stuff too? like the branchial arches, embryology type thing? if you do, that is no fun at ALL either

i am contemplating zoning for the rest of my night.

That's the spirit! School work should always come second to the truly important things in life (basically everything else). And ouch, Anatomy. That is one class I am never taking. A girl I got to know pretty well last semester in one of my English classes made me realize the horrors of Anatomy. She looked like walking death many days...it was scary. Some days she'd be so drained she'd start making animal noises. ;-;

Congrats!

Do ho ho! I guess I forgot to say and pants. Or did I?

3 day would be awesome. I had to take several night classes (including a 2-3 hour one) to manage a 4 day week. But it was worth it.

NINJAS. Stop that.

Yes. The cadavers were quite... uh... formaldehyde...y. I handled it a lot better than I thought I would though. I didn't even gag once. I was so proud of myself!

Seeing dead people's wrinkly genitalia was a bit unnerving though. Goggleemoticon

cadavers are definitely edgework, heh
i found the layer of yellow fat under the skin very creepy.
we did not look at genitalia. we did however look at brain slices, i imagine that would have been less unnerving than genitalia.

i couldn't bring myself to touch anything, even with gloves..

k - night classes o-o. that is true dedication to your weekends! i do not think i could bring myself to focus for that long, heh

that being said, all my classes last year were 4 hour lectures..

i fell asleep a LOT.

of course you are hardworking and attentive and would never fall asleep even if it was a 2-3 hour night class right? yes yes

Night classes are actually much easier for me to attend, since once I'm wide awake, I'm more dedicated to things. Morning classes are always at risk of being skipped... I don't like being up before 10 AM now that I'm in college. GAH. I had to wake up at 5:30 AM all Summer for work. NO MORE EARLY. My Wellness (joke of a) class at 9 AM has been skipped several times already. <_>

The only college class I've ever fallen asleep in (so far) was Art Appreciation (took that last semester). HOLY FRICK THAT WAS BORING. WOW. I have no idea how I even passed that class, honestly. I'm quite good at paying attention, otherwise. That really long class is Speech, which is usually fun.

We weren't exactly looking at genitalia, but they were left exposed so... kinda hard not to see them. And I agree, the layer of fat was creepy looking.

One thing's for certain though... I'm not ever going to donate my body to be dissected. I go to a community college and some of the students were... less than respectful with the cadavers when the instructor wasn't looking. Idiots. Tongue

Re: night classes - Every time I've tried taking a night class, I've ended up dropping it. But that's probably because the way I scheduled my classes, I went to class in the morning, then had a 3-4 hour break before I had to go back to campus for the night class. By the time I got home from morning classes, I was too exhausted (and lazy) to haul my ass back to campus for another 3 hour class.

Felix I hope you're getting at least a little bit done in between posts because I'm suddenly feeling guilty for being an accomplice in your procrastination. Goggleemoticon

We skipped that chapter in our textbook, thank goodness.

That's how my schedule is set up, too. I have a couple morning/around noon-ish classes and then the afternoon is empty and then a night class. The time gap is stupid, but oh well. This is my first semester trying out night classes, and I actually really like them.

I haven't even started yet. haha It's only 4:28 AM right now. Class isn't until 9:30 AM. Plenty of time!

man, i was just thinking about donating my body to be dissected, cus i've always been curious about what my brain looks like.

i suppose i could always solve that by getting a brain scan or just donating my brain,.. and i guess i wouldn't be alive to benefit from the dissection anyway.

the curator for the cadaver lab began by saying how "everyone who donated their body to this lab wanted to be here" and how every cadaver was only here because of the people who had wanted us to benefit from being able to dissect their bodies (i can still remember it). stunned silence, i don't think anyone wanted to disrespect them after that...

what exactly is felixtm procrastinating on? Smile

I have this kind of eerie feeling discussing something completely aside from the cadaver discussion around me. Nasty stuff, dead bodies.

Oh, just the final (of three) 750 word essay in my English Comp2: Ethics class. They're real easy modo for me. I love writing, I'm quite good at it and I love discussing ethics-related subjects. And even though I procrastinate the hell out of them, I still get really good grades. [brag]On the first one, I was one of only three people to get an A. On the second, one of only six to get an A.[/brag]

Yay English nerd skills.

i don't deliberately procrastinate on essays, and i still never get a's. roar. they just last too long, if you know what i mean... it's good that you can write essays so well. you are an english major? (obviously you don't do anything with cadavers in your line of work)
