Lol @ blitzkrieg's and Issac's attempt to crush our dreams.
BS. They're everything I want.

CGs have a better HP/EXP ratio than most (probably all) time temple mobs.
That aside, I dig the 999 monster quest, sure itll be hell, but I love short term goals (which is why I quest), those are what gets me most of my exp nowadays.

Lower Touch damage and Magic Damage and NO SEAL. That 999 Quest will keep a lot of people out as well as open up MANY places to go during 2xevents.

blitzkrieg Wrote:your training spot still isn't as good as newties though lol. never heard of people training at fire guardians, but I'll take your word for it. Yeah, on culverin some melee classes train on fire guardians but even they told me Skeles and Newts are a lot better exp wise ![]() And well, Isaac and Blitzkrieg sum'd it up, if you are only up for efficient grinding - You can forget Time Temple then. Believe me, I spent 2 lvls during 12X in Time Temple cause I've been too bored of Newties; and at Newties those 2 lvls would've passed by a lot faster LOL The only exception in this is if you're a melee class player, then you have with fire guardians a somewhat OKAY alternative to newties / skelegons, but Newts & Skeles still are a lot faster exp.

The flame zone may be ok, but you still have 999 of all 4 Green monsters and 999 of all 4 blue monsters, as well as defeat Lilino and Dodo to get there. If you're an ice mage, that means going through monsters that are resistant to blizzard before you can get to the ones that are weak to you. The maps are all enormous, so soloing them really isn't much of an option. There are some warps you can use, but they don't help *that* much. Also, a lot of them have fairly high damage (The guardian captains were doing about 2.4k to me) and the range on their attacks is huge and unavoidable. If you mob them, you're probably going to be taking a lot of damage unless you can freeze or otherwise incapacitate them. You've still got to get through the blue ones, though.

However, some of the mobs have drops that don't drop anywhere else. Eg, Shiny Bullets from most of the Memories area of Time Temple.

I guess this is also the only place you can get Time fragments for Reverse weapons, but again it's going to take ages to collect 45 of them.

Seal is hardly annoying, you can buy Holy Waters in Ellinia for dirt cheap, and hell if Nexon fix's Mo then ill never leave CWK. Lower touch, yeah thats true I guess, but they have higher KB as well, so youll have to be dishing out some nice damage to keep from getting touched, whereas each hit for savage blow knocks back a crimson guardian, and they're way mobbier than any Time Temple map. Also whats the droprate on Time Fragments, is it like equips? Or like Ring Fragments? Or Dragon Scales/Souls? Can anyone give me a rough idea?

Well it's not like killing 999 of each monster is terribly difficult by the time you train there anyway. I'll take that over having to farm a rare ass drop 999 times from each mob.

I don't get why you'd complain about having to do several 999 kill quests. I'm looking forward to how fun that's going to be. And more high level mobs and bosses is always welcome in my book.
I can't wait 'til GMS gets Time Temple too.

A) Seal is annoying. Hardly or Majorly, Annoying is annoying. I hate having to take up etc spots that can be used for Ciders or additional Gingers for Holy Waters.
B) Higher KB is no problem at all with Boomerang Step and stun, especially with the new 1 second Boomerang Step coming soon. C) The 999 Quest will prevent many people from flooding the place. Less KS'ers, no spam hackers, and less flooding during 2x events. D) I have watched videos of the map, the teleports are very helpful and its not so huge that it is a disadvantage.

Equip rate seems like a fair comparison. I know most of the ones I found came from the Eye of Times, not the main monster on the map. And the reason to complain about a 999 quest is because it's hardly a quest at all, it's just regular old hunting disguised as a quest. It forces you to kill stupid monsters you ordinarily wouldn't waste your time with. And sure, the prerequisite quests will keep out some people, but for the first month after release the first map is going to be slam packed and actually getting the quest done will be hard because of it.

Nexon fucked with their hitboxes and frames, meaning old styles of fighting them arent as effective anymore. For instance, I used to be able to keep them from attacking by spamming fury, but now they attack through it like a normal monster.

Since you can party to get everyone's quests done early, this shouldn't be a problem at all. It'll probably be a good thing. O___O In fact, the real problem will probably just be I/L AMs begging people to party them to get their 999 quests done when they have to do it for the ice resistant ones. Lol.

Ice Demon + Bliz = No Begging. Unless for some reason they're one of the few ice immune mobs that's immune to ID too. Seems unlikely though since only bosses seem to have that honor.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Yep I was there just this morning, maybe its because im a shadower, but I never noticed any change in their hitboxes or my training style on them, from the time they were released to this very day. |
