Why can't bosses/monster hit you more then once?
#1
I was thinking about this the other day when I was looking at some monster animations on Banned Story and I said..."Why can't they hit you more then once?"
The Lycanthrope, has an attack similar to magic claw. He swings his arms and the "hit affect" is just like magic claws. Now instead of talking however much damage we take from them in just one big number why doesn't it just get halved and we take two hits? At the same time like one over the other like a Night Lords Triple Throw.
It seems better in my opinion because if you take two hits avoidability will be helpful since if you take one hit but miss the other you talk a lot less damage.

Another one, Hsalf's savage blow like attack should hit you more then once. (If it does I really have no idea what it does) is there a reason why they don't do it?

I think it has to do with the fact that after each hit, our charatcers go invincible for a few seconds....so the point becomes moot.

It'll probably require them to change the way we take dmg.

To change invincibility frames will screw up many players. I myself used to use it to bypass Bigfoot. I also use it to take a small hit so I'd avoid a larger one (touching a Firebrand for instance so I don't get smacked by an Elder Wraith). This kind of stuff would benefit Warriors like hell. 15% chance to stun an enemy per hit would really add up if characters can take multiple hits in a second.

poison and myst type damage doesn't make you invincible. on the other hand, it also has 100% accuracy.

perhaps they could use that in conjuction? like a 1s myst or 1s poison effect?

Watch a lot of us suddenly fail HT runs and whatnot. Not to mention potential 1/1s followed by another attack in a millisecond.

This seems to be a design decision from the early days. It was perfectly acceptable back then.

Now now, we know how much Nexon hates defense, multi hits make defense more important. Nexon wouldnt like that.

Because you go invincible for a certain amount of time after getting hit once, making a second attack right after the first, pointless. Goggleemoticon

No it doesn't.

In the case of monster attacks they would. Those don't have a skill multiplier, just a PADamage value.

That's assuming a single PADamage value represents the damage per hit.
