Is it just me, or did Thief Pot in NLC got buffed slightly?

I'm sure before, it said that the Thief Potion added +8 accuracy and +15 avoid when it came out. I just looked at it again now, and it says +9 accuracy instead of +8. :f6:

+1 accuracy ftw?

Do people even use them anyway?

Not really. Sniper Pots give +10 for the same time frame, IIRC, and are much cheaper. The extra avoid isn't worth it. :X

Far as I can recall, they've always been 9/15.

No, it used to be 8/15, I'm pretty sure. They only last 8 minutes though, so a Sniper Pill + Bowman Elixer is better anyways.

Maybe it got buffed when they fixed the prices and stuff. I know it's been 9/15 for a long time.

Sniper Pill + Avoid Pill > Sniper Pill + Bowman Elixer.

For us cheap bastards.

Not exactly. Being cheap in this case is probably a worse idea than forking over 5k for a Bowman Elixir. For me, the difference between having +10 avoid from a Dexterity Pill and +20 avoid from a Bowman Elixir feels really noticeable. I would roughly get hit ~5 times less than with a Dexterity Pill per application. It may not seem like a lot, but what if we take that avoid and apply it to level 90+ monsters?

5 x 1.5k = 7.5k mesos worth of HP saved each time. In essence, the Bowman Elixir already pays for itself by preventing future losses from taking damage. The thing is not that the Bowman Elixir is expensive, but preventing future damage enough that it already pays for itself.

^ We don't know enough about the avoid formula to come to that conclusion.

I have had noticeable effects using a Bowman Elixer, but I have no idea about the conclusion of whether it is worth the costs. It does cost a lot of money in the end, but when I was training my LUK-less Cleric, I noticed an approximate 3.75% exp increase per hour. This was in late 3x training on Wraiths in the original HH map though. If you have the money to spare, I suppose you could spend money on it, but the cost effectiveness of a Dexterity Pill is much better. The best results would be achieved on characters who have low Avoid anyways.
