NXProse-Regarding Stage 2 CKPQ

If Proses is reading this, 500 PAD is enough for a monster to do 2000 damage Since it's quadratic, 4 times that results in 16 times the damage (32000).


I can sympathise with them, last time I wrote a PQ, I didn't check all cases of some variables and inevitably somebody decided they wanted to change it farther up the line and it caused odd behaviour in public testing. I also don't know how awkward the PQ scripting is for Nexon, I did it with javascript which is pretty good about variable typing and stuff.


It would be nice if they add an exit-PQ option for Jack too :p

I've had the pleasure to write down and script a couple of PQs before Nexon shut down private servers. There are, indeed, a very hard to track bugs and glitches.
I've expected a tad more debugging from a large party as Nexon, since in my own PQs it was no one but me who checked, and they are many.

Meanwhile, is this glitch (PQ) occur 100% always or is it just happen 70% of the time?

do we stand a chance keep trying ? or once a CH gets glitched its like that from there on?

About the rewards in the CKPQ room, that's partially intended. Looking at the overall schedule, we'd like to see some of the late 3rd/early 4th Job players move up for what's ahead.

The overall schedule? More high level content ahead? I wonder if they mean pre-existing content from other versions or the next Masteria expansion.

I would assume a combination of both. Several versions have Time Temple, so we should definitely get it within the next year.

the new ceo probably sent all the employees an email introducing himself to the company, but if you think hes responsible for anything more than that happening then youll pomegranate a brick when i say hes just a figurehead.

It occurs at a 100% chance. Once a ch is glitched, it stays glitched until there's any kind of server maintenance that requires the server to be taken down (server checks, patches, and the upcoming Daylight Savings check).

And honestly, I doubt the new CEO had anything to do with this. It was probably just Nexon neglecting to do the PQ more than once (once they found out that it would work all the way through, they just went with that and assumed it was almost or completely bug-free).

i think that just means get their skill books and weapons a bit easier. it is early 4th, time temple is for mid/late 4th jobbers.

The CKPQ bonus room drops Rapid Fire 30 and a White Seal Cushion. I'm not sure about the other books, but RF30 only comes from Sharks and the not yet released Leviathan. So I'm not complaining.

by schedule, my guess is what they have planned personally. Seeing as this pq is already focused for higher lvled people, and we havnt even begun to delve deep into the Subani v. Narcian battle, they will most likely have a newer even higher lvled area planned.

Overall, NLC has a pretty progressive feel about it lvl wise. Everything has been goinf from lower lvled (electrophants, gryphons), to mid lvled (windraiders, wolf spiders) and now to lower-high lvled (crimson guardians, CWKPQ). So my guess is that with the Krakia expansion, we should see a mix of mid-high lvl areas, along with some more lower lvled stuff.

Hopefully we will see a fix soon, cause my guess is that the Daylight Saving SC reset to the CHs wont last long.

I hope they fix this soon. It'll be like my APQ since i can't APQ

Yeah, but he said he wanted early 4th jobbers to "move up for what's ahead," meaning that the content is most likely for people higher leveled than early 4th jobbers (though Nexon is dumb and I'm sure that adding Leafre minidungeons would do much, much more to help accomplish this than the non-existent help than plentiful storybooks brings).

Actually, he's saying the Ancient Book, which is rare as hell (it only drops from Sharks, I don't think I need to explain it any more than that.) and it's something I was personally begging for. I know there were people pleading for Assassinate 30, so it looks like a good sign to me.

As far as Bigfoot is concerned, Stereo had a theory in IRC which is what probably happened:

Bigfoot's stomp skill has a physical attack value of 2,000. That puts his damage over 30,000. We suspect they wanted him to deal 2,000 damage, and accidentally put in 2,000 attack instead of only a few hundred (which is what would be needed to make him deal 2,000 damage.) So, I expect the fixed bigfoot to do about a 2,000 damage stomp.

Anyway I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that they are working on it, expect an bug fix patch in the next week or two. If it were me, I'd look at how existing PQs work and then refine and apply the technique to CKPQ.
