NXProse-Regarding Stage 2 CKPQ

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the feedback thus far. We're looking into the Stage 2 issues with the CKPQ, as that never happened on the Test server, as well as Bigfoot--obviously, he's not supposed to stomp you for that much. However, the best way to bypass him for now is to work your way through the quests, which give you an item that bypasses most of the maps where he is...of course, we know that this isn't that easy as you have to wander through the forest in the first place, so sit tight and we'll work that one out.

About the rewards in the CKPQ room, that's partially intended. Looking at the overall schedule, we'd like to see some of the late 3rd/early 4th Job players move up for what's ahead. So, storybooks like the Ancient Book or Burning Book of Fire as well as equips and some skillbooks would have to be more available. Given that the challenge, we felt it was only fair to give something worth that effort, to empower you further to progress in the game. Now, that's not to say it'll never change...that always can. Cool

As far as the bosses, well, you'll see.

They are working on it obviously. Hopefully they will figure out how to fix it soon.

Bigfoot, I'm not worried about that too much. Seems like an easy 1 to fix.

I'm not sure if I'm reading this properly. Is Prose saying that the skillbook rewards in CWKPQ include COMMON and WORTHLESS books such as the Burning Book of Fire as opposed to IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND skills like Assassinate 30?

Actually, he's saying the Ancient Book, which is rare as hell (it only drops from Sharks, I don't think I need to explain it any more than that.) and it's something I was personally begging for. I know there were people pleading for Assassinate 30, so it looks like a good sign to me.

As far as Bigfoot is concerned, Stereo had a theory in IRC which is what probably happened:

Bigfoot's stomp skill has a physical attack value of 2,000. That puts his damage over 30,000. We suspect they wanted him to deal 2,000 damage, and accidentally put in 2,000 attack instead of only a few hundred (which is what would be needed to make him deal 2,000 damage.) So, I expect the fixed bigfoot to do about a 2,000 damage stomp.

Anyway I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that they are working on it, expect an bug fix patch in the next week or two. If it were me, I'd look at how existing PQs work and then refine and apply the technique to CKPQ.

If Proses is reading this, 500 PAD is enough for a monster to do 2000 damage Since it's quadratic, 4 times that results in 16 times the damage (32000).


I can sympathise with them, last time I wrote a PQ, I didn't check all cases of some variables and inevitably somebody decided they wanted to change it farther up the line and it caused odd behaviour in public testing. I also don't know how awkward the PQ scripting is for Nexon, I did it with javascript which is pretty good about variable typing and stuff.


It would be nice if they add an exit-PQ option for Jack too :p

Lol I always thought BF's stomp should of had Super KB. But Super vacuum...hah...never thought of that.

Does this mean we are going to have patch .68 this weekend or some time soon? If so we are getting closer and closer to MSSEA!

im pretty sure we are in patch 66 now, so next patch will be 67.

For the Vault, rumored someone got a BS30 drops, and seeing as Rapid Fire 30 and Big Bang 30 also drops, we might also see Frostprey 30 and Assassinate 30 as well.

I still think that the glitch is caused because people DC instead of normally leaving to bypass the 15 minutes limit.

How are you supposed to leave? :\ The only way I've managed to exit the PQ without dc/dying is for the timer to run out.
