What I dislike about Crimsonwood Keep II
#1
Well. I don't really dislike it. Let's just say that some things don't make sense, at least to me. Since Masteria is based on a storyline, everything should have a sense.

Let's start. So, with the latest expansion, they put a portal in the keep's entrance. That's ok.

Then, you enter the Courtyard. Inside, there are statue NPCs that tell you some story. That's ok, too, more storyline always is good.

When you enter the keep using the right portal in the courtyard map, you enter the Keep.

And here comes the nonsense. When you enter the keep, you will see that there's a big door with two statues.

Oh, look! The door is glowing! There's like a.. defence system. But that makes sense, since Jack explained that there was a red barrier that wasn't letting anyone enter.

DUH. You just entered. Tongue And you can easily leave and enter the door whenever you want. That's nonsense. It'd make sense if the door had a requirement, for example the Crimsonwood Keystone. Maybe the Crimsonwood Keystone had a power that Jack didn't know before, and it can disable the red barrier on the doors. But NO, anyone can perfectly enter the keep, making the Crimsonwood Keystone almost useless, since I think you only need it to make a squad (the others can enter without even having one, I think).

That's nonsense. wtp? You can also enter the Hall to the Inner Sanctum (before-PQ area) without even having a Keystone. DUH. There's another door with a red barrier there. But it lets you enter just by clicking on it, without even having to do the keystone quest. Woo-hoo. :f6: That absolutely make sense.

Second thing that I don't like.
In the PQ area, there's Jack, and another door protected by the red barrier (though, I must say I like how they made the it).
First time I saw him there (I kinda predicted he'd have been the PQ NPC) I was like.. woa! Let's see what he says about that! Surely, he'll give me an explanation on everything happening.. like, how and why he got inside the Keep again, and how is it possible to enter the Keep now, and before you couldn't do it.

Guess what? I click him, and he says: "Do you want to form the Masteria PQ Squad?".

SERIOUSLY, wtp? I mean, he got inside the Keep again, he "disabled" or most likely "disarmed" the red barriers (that's the only explanation of why you can still enter the doors with the red barriers without any problem), and he says "Do you want to form the Masteria PQ Squad?" like if nothing happened?

I expected him to explain me what's going on, before letting you make the squad. Like, "I recovered my forces and decided to come up here again to recruit people to defeat the twisted grandmasters. I also found a way inside the keep and disarmed the red barriers". Even something like that would've been enough of an explanation for me. But no, he doesn't tell anything. Not a quest, not an explanation. So, I enter the PQ. Thankfully, at least inside the PQ, he tells you something: "Glad to see you made it, ace! We've got real trouble--they know we're here, and there's an ambush ahead" etc.

Ok, he explains the plan of the Grandmasters and how to do the PQ, and then? What else does he say? Nothing. No a word about why he's here or anything.

You could say: "that's stupid! just enjoy the PQ!". Well. I know I probably am for making a topic for this, when many people don't even care about reading quests. But yeah, I hate how NEXON tried to make sense at everything before they released Crimsonwood Keep II, and now many things don't.

When they released the first part, Taggrin, Yoko, Jack Barricade, John Barricade and all the other new (and some old NPCs) told you EVERYTHING about the new expansion and now Jack doesn't tell you anything about why he's there.

Well, at least when you kill the bosses and get the Mark of Naricain, Icebyrd, explains you some things, but still, the reason because Jack is there and you can pass the red barriers without problems is still unknown. I'm wondering if the Raven Ninjas and the other Crimsonwood Keep's NPCs like Lukan will have their part in other Masteria expansions.

What do you think about it?

Well, thats one of the many reasons why GMS need a test server...
not to mention the glitches.

Hell, yeah. Crimsonwood Keep PQ glitch.. seriously, didn't NEXON think they should've tested the PQ TWO TIMES IN THE SAME CHANNEL? They'd have found out that after getting to the boss stage, you can't PQ anymore in that channel because of the 2nd stage glitch.

Tespia people would've found it out, even if most of them are noobs who don't care about bugs.

So the 4 Grandmasters are the new Captian Lutanica 0.O? Goggleemoticon

Yeah, one new quest which requires the PQ already completed? (or someone gives you the Naricain Pendant) wtp?

I was expecting to get a new quest from Jack (in the Cavern) explaining that he's figured out a way to get into the Keep, fight through the mobs, etc. steal a storm shield from the Stormbreakers to get through the gate etc.

As it is you run around with no idea what's going on and everything just mysteriously works o.o

Yeah, I agree, Nexon spent too little time working on the storyline this time around. Instead of providing any suspension of disbelief, they went straight to the "HAY GUISE. WANNA PEE-CUE?" because they know 90% of the people doing it don't read that crap anyway. Oh well.

I'm kinda glad it's glitched. Keep the pends from becoming hella deflated. I mean cmon...... it'll end up being like S> 10 atk pendant for 50m. Just like fking zak helms. That's just stupid. They shoulda raised the bosses damage a bit, like 3-4k normal dmg, and 6k with the atk up.

In the GM blog is said that they where "hoping" to put eather it was quest data or quest text in, but it all was a time thing. I have a feeling that the PQ is not "fully" finished.

They should be nerfed and you know it.

Yah they should. A weaker boss giving a better reward than HT is stupid. That's like having the ludi cape give better stats than a zak helm. It doesn't make any sense. Not to mention HT pend is higher level.

The boss fight isn't really that hard as soon as you get passed having to pot yourself instead of relying on bishops to heal you (lmao).

You know, I do read these forums!

Yes, they didn't focus on the story, but considering level 120+ players have been looking for a damn decent PQ for once, we don't really care about the damn story.

Why should the 10att Pendant be nerfed? That's just a help in our dream to one day be close to the leveling speed of 4th Job Mages.

The PQ is fine and all, the boss fight is fun, but the reward is overpowered... ATLEAST make it untradeable..... AT LEAST. if anything else..... come the fk on.

Oh, did mages get an item to make them do as much single target DPS as NLs then? No? Then GTFO, fast training is all they have. The pendant needs nerfing up the wazoo

That or they can add the 2nd Egg on the HT Pendant.

10atk hardly does anything for single target DPS in todays game. Do any of us level as fast as mages even with this pendant? No, so Mages need "nerfing up the wazoo" more than this pendant.

HT pendant would still be way behind even then, maybe not for STR shadowers who reset out AP, or mages, but thats all.

Did every other class get an Ultimate that make them do as much mob damage as Mages? No? Then GTFO, single target DPS is all they have. Ultimates needs nerfing up the wazoo!

Nice this turns into Anti-Ultimate so fast. First page even. Seriously, take it away, they level significantly slower, and they STILL get denied for bosses.
