Secret Spell Scroll

If the NPC value of the scrolls is 5m then why would that one person (I don't want to call him a hacker yet) have so many for 5.5m

Do you guys think it's safe to buy this for 5.5m now and keep for 120? I know my marauder will get there at some point in this year o,o

Oh, if the NPC value of them got changed to 1 meso recently, then it'd make sense. Dupe hackers in the past who have massive stocks of secret spell scrolls, probably kept due to the max meso limit, can't NPC them anymore for 5mil each, so they'd have to sell them in the FM.

Buying SS scrolls in general is a dumb idea imo. Unless you're a mage soloing, griffy and manon are not hard at all to solo at 120 especially for a marauder. Not to mention the nice drops you could get from the kills.

Took a screenie since I remembered where this was..... some have sold o,o I'm pretty sure there were at least 50

That makes the most sense, as I see no signs of a dupe hack now (via google, or in game).

Well, if you don't mind the 4 hour spawn time if I remember and the Heroic Star & Pentagon to be like a semi-rare drop, then you could just kill both Manon & Griffey.. but 5m-ish+ is pretty cheap and convenient. =p

Here is a tip. If Manon drops it there is a good chance its worthless. I don't think I have ever sold one skill book that dropped from Manon. Its just too easy for people to get themselves.

um, 1, manon doesnt drop the secret spell scroll, 2, he DOES drop good scrolls and equips. Such as various weapon 60%s, and cravens, blue marines, white nisrock/neschere, dimon wand, pinaka, blood daggers, and gold double knifes. So yes, he does have good drops if you are lucky.

The only reasoning I can see behind this is to sell to the mass amount of people that are leeching to 120 and are too lazy to run to Ludi and back. >__>

Yeah, it made playing MS at the time quite miserable.

I don't think people realize how much of this crap dupers built up and stockpiled.

The only reason I can see as to why this is going on is that there's some unknown get-rich-quick scheme going on, or there's a prelude to some massive 4th job meso farmer/bot plan.

They sold for 5 mill each before. As the max meso amount is limited to 2^31-1, that would equal to 400 ss scrolls. And you can have more than 400 ss scrolls.

Generally though, white scrolls would be more efficient to dupe. People tried, but at that time, it was rather hard/impossible to get one.

Hopefully there's no dupe hack out now, which could result in a very nasty cape or shoe.

I know about that, which is why I alluded to the "ripping off noobs" thing.

The stamps or w/e in J/KMS serve a similar function as a currency, just like how 1 Gold in WoW is 100^2 Copper.

The question is, if it comes from last year dupe hack, why now? When actually did they change the NPC value from 5M to 1 meru?
