Clean Slate Glitch?
I think we've all had our say now, and we should all just hug and be friends D= People are going to abuse it and no one can stop them, so now that we've had it out let's just stop guys.
Sivrat Wrote:no, he is saying, if your own mother, all of your friends, and everyone who knows you well, calls you gay, it is making a observation. Not if 1 person, or 2 people called you gay, but if people who knew you well decided you were gay, then it probably is very true, or else you have an pimento of a mom, and need new friends.
I pmed this to him but oh well, I'll post it here:
~~~~~
Homosexuality is genetic. You cannot change whether you are gay or not. People who are gay, no matter with how much therapy they receive, cannot become straight. It is physically impossible to change their brain clusters that determine their gayness.
Try it. Try viewing boys (assuming you are a guy) with the same passion as you view girls. It's impossible. In fact, you'll probably be disgusted by it. Let's say that somehow, you are able to view guys with a loving passion, and even develop a love for a guy. Can you masturbate to him? Will viewing the guy naked give you the same pleasure as viewing a girl naked? The answer to both those are no.
~~~~~
Just because a person or even everyone calls you gay, doesn't mean you are. Only you can determine that. And maybe you just act feminine but really inside you prefer girls over guys.

Observation can be misleading. How else can so many people in the past believe that the earth is flat?
Sivrat Wrote:On topic here is another "glitch turned beneficial" analogy for you, HP washing. Dont freakin tell me that was intended.

More on topic, this is a glitch, just like Jumpshooting and HP washing is a glitch, as was BF Glitch. Nexon decides its an Intended feature when they make it, not after a programming error occurs. Nexon might decide to leave this, though that will sadden me, it is up to them to decide whether this glitch should be allowed or not. You cant deny it IS a glitch though. There really isnt any other way of looking at it. You can say, let us wait and see what nexon will do, but no matter what they do, it wasnt an intended feature, they didnt program these things with this in mind, therefore, it IS A FRIGGIN GLITCH.
Well, glitch means it's bannable according to ToS. Glitching is a CLEAR violation of the ToS. While HP washing <may> be a glitch, it is not since it is not bannable according to the ToS.

Since White Slating is not a CLEAR violation of the ToS, another term must be used to distinguish glitch from nonglitch.

To think when I did a 11 gach ticket run in Showa, my sis and I went "we got gachapwned... we're never gaching here again"... we just never sold these cause we cant stick them in MTS, lol.

I think I'm going to buy Gachapon tickets and to use them on Showa. Seriously.
Who wants to buy my 12 atk +3 Stormcasters and turn it into a 16?

Harrisonized Wrote:If you read, not everyone agrees that it is a glitch.

By you logic it's a glitch because Nexon hasn't stated their intentions towards their functionality, however the description of a white scroll is:
Nexon Wrote:One of Subani’s sacred Scrolls. If used in conjunction with a normal or Dark Scroll, the number of item upgrade slots will not be deducted if the scroll fails. However, if using a Dark Scroll, there is still a chance that your weapon will be destroyed.

The glitch occurs when used with scrolls that are neither normal, nor dark.
This means the item is performing outside of the stated context, and this is a glitch until the description is corrected or amended to restate the new purpose/functionality.

Any time a statement of functional intent is provided behavior outside that stated intent is considered a glitch. It does not require the creator to come back and also add "btw, if it does anything other than it's described properties it's a glitch". It's a glitch by the intrinsic value of defying it's description/purpose.

HP washing would not be a glitch because the system performs exactly as described in all portions of the process. If anything HP washing is creative use of the game mechanics. If the description of white scrolls were updated to say they reverse any form of slot loss, then this too would be creative usage of game mechanics.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

I thoroughly love you. I don't know if I've ever told you.

Honestly, I can't believe there is any (and by any I mean pages and pages' worth) argument about this. It's so simple what is a glitch and what isn't. Am I saying all glitches are the same? Am I saying all glitches affect the same things or amount of people? Am I saying it's even bad to take advantage of this?

No, I'm not. It's simply a glitch. And guess what? That's all this thread was about. OP asked about a glitch. Glitch was tested. Glitch was confirmed. Thread's intent was fulfilled, and thus, ended.

But continue, please. I'm well-rested now and ready for more.

Nice idea...I should sell my 14atk +6 BWG.
None of this discussion would even be happening if the thread wasn't started in the first place, and then the secret would stay with the few people who know it. Everyone's just feeling the "initial rush" effect of everything. In a week or two, things will go back to normal and no ones gonna remember.

Completely off-topic rant here...HP washing isn't a glitch, but it's a horrible mechanism that no one bothered to change (problem of classes not having enough HP could easily be remedied with a few formula changes) because it creates a ton of demand for AP resets. NEXON only bothers to fix broken mechanisms if it stops people from paying them money.

This glitch probably won't be touched, because it makes people want to spend more money on Gach, as evidenced by the above posts.
IMO the only advantage this method has on using white scrolls regularly is that you are not limited to 7 slots. is it worth the money? i dont think so, but equips deflations are always good.
Could I ask everyone around the table the inflation on slate/spike shoe/cape protection on your different servers since the glitch was leaked?

ps: i'm maplesyrop from that post earlier and trust me the drop rate is as low as nependeath honey Tongue

Cube slimes?
Anyone else feel that a Scroll that works 1% of the time are a bit too obscure? I'm not saying that this isn't a glitch, but it's possible they intended it to work this way.

As it wasn't designed by the same developer team, it's more of "dam we haven't thought about that", they clearly poorly coded white scroll as a straight "slot++" without much of a verification... just like when they imported magatia from kMS they just filtered out the items that weren't in the data: hence the monster book card for instance.

Didn't Nexon fired half of their developer in Vancouver not so long ago? Some stress at the company, and oups mistake's done.

Please stop trying to see some obscure hidden purposes from Nexon, it's obviously a glitch

Or maybe they copied it straight, and every time someone kills a Magatia mob, an error message "Incorrect Item ID" pops up on their server when it tries to drop stuff we don't have yet.

I agree the clean slate scroll rates are stupid. Why would you even use a lower % one if you can get higher. They all have twice the chance of breaking as they do of working, it's just more and more likely for nothing to happen.

If (for example) the 1% scrolls had only 0.5% chance to break, 3% had 2% chance to break, 5% had 5% chance to break, and 20% had 40% chance to break, then maybe people would go for the lower ones.
"omg box event white scrollz deflating *peach peach peach*"
"omg white scrollz inflating again *peach peach peach*"

srsly i dont think this can cause any harm... if clean slate scrolls are already 200mil then it would cost double the amount just to land the scroll you wanna land than with just white scrolls.

It is still very good to turn a midum-high scrolled item into a really godly one by landing a couple extra scroll than just start from scratch with white scroll only.
I mean there's a ton of overall in the mid 20s XXX that only wait to be rescrolled for a low-30s XXX, 15-16atk glove into 18atk etc...
sometimes just one more 30-60% can totally change the price of an item.
Seriously though. It's essentially a 500m+ price tag for a 9x% clean slate scroll. Big deal...

If you're really intent on landing an extra 30%, you'll likely be paying somewhere near max mesos, and there's still a significant chance to nuke the item with the 30% (plus the more negligible chance for the slate to break it). And if you wanted to be safe and not take chances with breaking, you'd be forced to use a 10%, meaning spending upwards of 5b mesos to land one scroll.
Just so I don't go to the wrong place, Showa Gacha = Zipangu Spa Gacha, right? Eek

Well, think about the difference in price between a weapon with +30 attack (average +6 30%), like an 80 att Sleve, and a weapon with +40 attack (an 85 att Sleve). It's pretty fucking huge, especially with claws, bows, 1h and 2h swords, and ELE WANDS OH GOD.
