Clean Slate Glitch?

I don't see why people are complaining.

1) Most people wouldn't touch clean slates anyways.
2) Most people aren't able to afford white scrolls anyways.
3) The white scroll and clean slate market doesn't affect the common player.

This is a rich person market. Since it doesn't affect you in any way whatsoever by being unable to enter this market system, it doesn't affect you...

If it doesn't affect you, don't worry about it.
And to TheTyphoon, white scrolls are already 1.5b in Scania. I don't think it'll get better.

Also, this glitch fixes the abundance of white scrolls we (as a server) had gotten from the box event returning them to their original rarity.

Harrison why must we always conflict. It doesn't matter that it doesn't affect some people. It's the fact that yet another game breaking glitch has come to light and in the true style of Maple, some failures are going to abuse the living hell out of it. Just because it doesn't affect some people doesn't mean it isn't wrong or we should just ignore it.

Whether they are 1.5b in scania or 2b in bera. servers such as broa or khaini are going to be affected heavily by it.. sure.. ppl with not alot of money aren't going to be using the glitch, but they will still be selling slates for a huge ass profit.

scania and bera are probably screwed the most anyways... mass meso buyers gonna feed off this, and the already godly people are probably crying in their beds

Yeah, I don't think this will have much of an effect beyond (below?) the point where an item is insane enough to have ONE SLOT worth hundreds of millions. Other than the initial rush to profit off of buying these scrolls and a better chance for gachapon users to land a 100mil+ item, of course. Unless you're a part of the "a slot on one of my equipment is worth 500mil+" crowd, this glitch really has pretty much no effect on you, so we not-insanely-rich people might as well release this info to the public.

The point is that this glitch is not game breaking, and it IS indeed arguable that this glitch could have been intended. After all, the saying goes: innocence until proven guilty. Unless Nexon declares this a glitch, it is not a glitch. We might as well call it a game function if it's not a glitch.

Well, let's say this. Really the common person is not affected by this. Prices for scrolled equipment will drop as the rich pay the poor to upgrade their items. I'd say this item is good for the economy. This item definitely alleviates the disparity between the rich and the poor. Before, where the rich were holding on to most of their meso, now there is a flow of meso from the rich to the poor. As the rich spend money to upgrade their equips, the money will go to the poor. The rich have no means of recycling this money if they plan on using their items forever (which most would probably).

Thus, now the average meso per common person has risen. Benefit for all.

I don't see how the "already godly" people will be crying in their bed. If this game is so much about competition for godly items and it means so much to them, then that's too bad.

I agree with you. Probably today will be the worst, but when the supply increases by people selling off their clean slates and white scrolls, we'll experience a slight deflation of the white scrolls. I'm speculating they'll stabilize around 1b a piece later on.

The clean slate 1%s will probably stabilize around 200m a piece, with each increasing success rate lower.

lols im thinking many many people found out today about this including myself and its going to just spreading more and more so today and tomorrow is when clean slates and white scrolls are going to inflate sky high

Also, that's hacking. He had to edit his wz files in order to no-delay. That means he essentially changed the game. You don't have to edit anything to do white scroll + clean slate. That's why you might as well consider it an intentional function.

I'll use this example:
Someone goes to the store and sees a recliner for $50 dollars, when the actual value is $100. Since though, the store owner obviously made a [mistake or intention] in tagging the item, he HAS to give the chair to the person for only $50. In a similar way, since it's Nexon's [mistake or intention], it's not the player's problem.

Your quest thing about the dead end quest is just comparing apples to oranges. You can't compare the two. Merely, the quest is unfinished because Nexon did not write the end of the chain. The white scroll returning the slot has no relevance to an unfinished quest chain.

If you weren't being sarcastic, the light bulb appears and won't go away for 0-23 hours depending on time zone because Nexon's server time and your computer's time don't match up. Even if Nexon intended to have a light bulb stuck above people's head, which makes no sense at all even from their standpoint, they'd make it so it'd be always there, or for a consistent amount of time for everyone. Not for the difference in hours between server time and computer time, which varies between users.
