This has been bothering me...

FrozNlite Wrote:It's Been.

And if people have an issue with it being misspelled and still pronounced "Bean," then I guarantee you you're wasting your anger on a pointless cause. Everywhere you turn people misspell things purposely whether for the sake of advertising, treating things as a symbol, etc.

It doesn't make me angry. I was just curious what, exactly, it was.

It's spelt Been, but even if you spelt bean, it doesn't matter coz people will still know what you're talking about and thats what it matters. Biggrin

What kind of idiot names a boss a 'Pink Bean' . . . . -facepalms-! Pink Been makes no sense. Pink Being makes the MOST sense, I'd say Pink Being.

this is just like how many people were calling NL's Night Roads... like SERIOUSLY wtp?!? NIGHT ROAD?!?

just because japanese translation is "naito lo-do" doesn't mean that lo-do is ROAD! LORD is the SAME pronunciation! and i've been telling people it's NIGHT LORD! because Night Road MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHATSOEVER! but people STILL called it the non-sense Night Road >.>

until GMS finally got it... and it's officially Night Lord... as I thought it was >.>

now this...

Pink Bean wouldn't be tooo farfetched, because face it... it DOES look like a bean o.O

but... it would be pretty lame for a boss...

and logically, been is like road in night road... which makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHATSOEVER...

i'm 95% sure it's Pink BEING

Pink Being is the sense. That's what they meant it to be called.

So yeah, Pink Being.

I assume the same type of idiot that designs the currently strongest boss in maple as a pink bean with eyes and ears, and makes it barely larger than a slime? Assuming that Pink Bean is it's name.

Level 80 warrior overalls:
female: Battle Empress
male: Battle Road

Also, the japanese translation really has nothing to do with how it's translated into english... as far as I know, anyway. At least I hope Nexon America isn't translating from the japanese version, which was in turn translated from the korean version.

Personally though, I don't really care what they call it, because I'll probably never end up fighting it. Tongue

Really, it looks like a bean.
Why wouldn't that make sense?

iTunes corrected HonTale to Horntail, so I'm thinking it's right when it changes fightingpinkbeen to Fighting (the) Pink Being.

Lets not forget the Dragon Faltisan and Dragon Chelbird. Neither a faltisan nor a chelbird is a weapon: they clearly meant partisan and halberd respectively. Just looking at those weapon's names makes me sick.

Personally, I'm hoping for Been, because, frankly, I think Pink Being just sounds stupid.

I'm pretty sure people called them Night Load for a while too

I'm with the misspelling/advertising/referencing/Nexon cynic theories here. Let's not have too much faith in humanity Smile

Don't forget Jenumist/Jakum...

And of course the fact that way back they changed a bunch of item names (Joosting->Jousting, etc.) I don't think anything is guaranteed to be spelled correctly, especially as an item name (without context there's no way to know what it's meant to be).

존재, 생존, 본질, 것, 신 <- Noun, being.

핑크빈 <- The boss' name. None of those words are in the name. I think it's "Been."

I never understand what the hell is the problem with calling something in MS. Why not just wait for it and you'll know for sure and then you can call it that. For now, just stick with the "official" name and call it Pink Been? It's really not that hard...

Some people have the urge to correct things that aren't even wrong leading to stupidity.

Eg. the narutards kalling the Kage "kah-gey" despite absolutely no evidence of it being pronounced that way (less noticecable now that nobody uses luk weapons)

The symbol literally translates to 'empty' or just pronounced "bin" which would support been, kinda. "The Pink Void" sounds ok.

Off Topic: Kay-g Ftw. (not good with pronunciation thingies)

On Topic: Pink Been > Pink Being > Pink Bean.
