This has been bothering me...

I thought it was Pink Bean. I have been corrected on multiple occasions, however nowhere have I found that it is Pink Been. Just wondering what people thought/ if there was really anyone that knew 100% that it is Pink Been.

Right, but this is not only about pronuciation, but also about who said it is actually spelled "Been" ? O.o I can't read Korean.

where's the "who cares?" option? does it really matter which way it is spelled or even pronounced (because bean and been sound nothing alike)? you people put way too much thought into this.

Well officially its Pink Been, but many have called it Pink Bean based on its pronunciation. Either will do, you just have to put up with the corrections with Pink Bean.

That won't be a problem then will it. When it gets released here you will 100% know its official name. I don't see any point putting much thought into it since it could easily be called something completely different in GMS.

This is the exact logic I was looking for. An explanation of why people seem to think it is Been, and her explanation of why she thinks it is Bean, herself.

I had no idea about the mp3. That kind of clears it up for me a bit i guess. (at least in regards to why people are calling it Been instead of Bean)

I hope they don't change the name to something stupid. Yes, I know Pink Bean is a stupid boss name, but look at it! Its cute.

They'll probably go with Pink Being, which is probably the most sense, and I prefer it more than Bean or Been, since Been doesnt make sense, and its clearly not a Bean (though it is shaped SOMEWHAT like one).

People also used this exact same logic on me when they were calling Leafre "Riprey", I went and took a screenshot of the Map Icon in the data saying "LEAFRE" and they brushed it off just like that.

Excuse my fascination w/ pronunciations. I loved getting on vent and hearing the way people say towns and monsters names. For instance, Himes (hee mays or high meeze?) or w/e else ppl come up with. I find it interesting.

I don't know much about Korean, but the way they spell out bean/been/being is 빈. Romanized, that's "BIN." If it was "being" I think it would be more like 비인, "Bi-in." I'm no expert on Korean, though .

Probably something like Vaginus, seems more their taste.

And if people have an issue with it being misspelled and still pronounced "Bean," then I guarantee you you're wasting your anger on a pointless cause. Everywhere you turn people misspell things purposely whether for the sake of advertising, treating things as a symbol, etc.
