In continuation to Magatia's Story, I'll try my best to tell what I've read about the Mysteries of Dr. Le Lang. This is not 100% accurate, since its hard for me to remember three days of questing with all the other stuff going on around me. I've also condensed the story so I won't have to write down the unecessary parts, so forgive me if some information is missing.
If you're obsessed with Magatia's quests and storyline, and don't want any spoilers, don't read this.
All the content in this is 100% SPOILERS!
(My friend apparently yelled at me for leaking the story out to him before he finished the quests, so I'm just making sure in case some of you there don't want to be spoiled.)
I do highly recommend you do the quests first before you read the story though, the surprises are thrilling (or if you finished all the quests but apparently just clicked 'NEXT'NEXT'NEXT' without reading anything of what the NPCs had said).
Dr. Le Lang's Mystery:
Spoiler
Dr. Le Lang, is the husband of Phyllia and the the father of Keeny. His wife and child, being both of fairy blood will live forever in eternal youth. He wanted to have this immortality also, so he could spend eternity with his family. With this desire, he made an experiment, to fuse human and machine in a way so it could live forever. But this act of trying to gain immortality is forbidden, and he must not be caught conducting this experiment. This led to him locking himself inside his house, setting security and booby traps everywhere, and even ignoring his wife and child. He had vowed he will not see Phyllia and Keeny until his experiment is complete. The people of Magatia were suspicious of him, thinking he was on to some atrocious scheme.
After a long time on his experiment, Dr. Le Lang could not create the perfect blend to create an immortal being. No matter what he did, he could not transfer human memories into a machine. He had failed. He had vainly wasted all those years. He couldn't bear to face Magatia, his wife and child after what he had just done. But there was one thing he could do. He remembered Keeny, and called to mind her ill condition due to her half-human and half-fairy breed (half breeds tend to be sickly). He created a cure for her illness. But due to his anguish, he could not bear to give it to Keeny in personal. He had an idea though. He left the medicine with the android protoype of himself which he had created, although not perfect, but it was his only choice. After securing the prototype with the medicine in a safe area, he self-destructed his lab filled with explosives. The explosion caused an uproar in the town of Magatia.
After the explosion, a search team has been sent to investigate Dr. Le Lang's Lab. In the chaos, they found the prototype Dr. Le Lang had made of himself. The prototype later became Humanoid A.
The search team could not find out the reason for Dr. Le Lang's experiments or why he had destroyed his lab. Dr. Le Lang's incident, became a mystery, and went unsolved for many years.
Until, years after, a traveler came (which is you).

Maybe I understood wrongly, but from what I understood, I think Humanoid A IS Dr. De Lang. He somehow transformed himself to a robot, because he wanted to live forever and stay with his family, even if he would have lost all his memory (like he did). Even if he lost his memory, he has sort of "feelings", and "loves" his wife and his child, even if he doesn't remember that they are.
Isaac can confirm if what I said is wrong or right.
I mean.. he just disappeared. i never heard about any explosion in his lab..
and because that the magatians thought that he has some connection to the black magician..

You are totally clueless about these quests... Seriously.

there is the 2 parts of the whole story.. before magatia/nautilus and after magatia nautilus.. before magatia and nautilus were created the story was just about stuff like balrog attacking them etc.. after magatia, ellin forest and nautilus... Dark magician's story started to make sense.. so thats why ereb was created.
ADD IN : im a quest whore and if i see any quests not done ill never hesitate to do it..
v.40 Patch Notes Wrote:Masteria takes its name from the many warriors who came to the continent looking to master their fate and find their destiny. It has mysteriously risen from the sea after a 1000-year absence. This once fabled continent was home to a technologically advanced civilization that used a myriad of techniques for benevolence...before the dark times. There are very few records of the final act which caused the continent to plunge into the sea, and its jewel, Olde Sapp Village to be erased from the Maple World.
What civilization is this referring to? Did the Krakians enhance their bodies with machinery even then?

Humanoid A != Dr. De Lang. I think you meet him at least once in person in one of those lv 7x quests.

As he said, Site takes you to the past. I'm not sure exactly how, i think it's Site's memory of Dr. De Lang. Something to that effect. The point is, that's not the present. What you see of Dr. De Lang is a memory of a projection of what was really there a long time ago. So, Humanoid A can still me Dr. De Lang. If that were so, it makes the end of Magatia quests have an end I'm truly satisfied with. I think it's the best storyline in Maple so far. Yay going off on tangents...
I'm almost 100% sure that Humanoid A is Dr. De Lang. If he wasn't, then the storyline wouldn't be complete. But to me, it's just obvious he is. He wanted to stay alive forever to see her daughter.. and so he just transformed himself to a robot through an experiment, even if he knew he would have lost his memory.
Anyway, Isaac, remember you have a Crimsonwood Keep's story to write after the second part will come out. =P

I really look forward that..
Humanoid A is Dr. De Lang, the NPC version of De Lang you see is Parwen's Memory fragment. It's not the real De Lang.
