Microsoft Songsmith is software which takes vocals, and based on its melody, creates accompanying music (e.g. drums, chord progression, etc), dependent on genre selection, user input of BPM, and the vocal track.
However, it's also possible if you have the vocal track from a professional song to run it through Songsmith...I'm sure you can imagine the lulz.
