My Mule is a lvling machine

I haven't trained my lvl 16 mule for along time. The last couple days everytime I log in to get pots or whatnot it has gone up the rankings. Not by alot, 8, 16, 30, or so. But each time it goes up. Anyone else noticing this?

People die and delete characters and stuff.

It shouldn't be more than the number of new characters leveling past 16, but... well...

I've noticed it with my archmage too, and I've been wondering what's been causing it. My archmage is level 146, and I never get any exp on her, yet my rank goes up a lot of the time. I'd never have expected more people above 146 being banned than people leveling to 146.

As for your level 16 thing, I'm even more surprised. That would mean maple is experiencing a net loss of characters over level 16 >_>

It's called "bannings". Lots of them have been happening recently.

Steelno, level 114 Pirate, went up 25 ranks. Haven't played MapleStory in weeks.

I've noticed it on my NLC mule (Lv19 warrior, hasn't gotten exp for months). It's people dying and getting banned. Mostly bannings since we have those Valentine Chocolates as Safety Charms.

Sounds like the sound of GMs doing their jobs. Fascinating! :O

I only gained 10% on my Pirate, only to rise up ~20 ranks in the PIRATE ranking. I smell high level Priate hackers.

But I'm happy since this implies hackers are getting banned. It's really funny when my level 16 mule gained ranks doing nothing.

my mage keeps fluctating up by a lot and the up by a couple in Broa but in the overalls for mages it seems to be a consistant 1-5 ranks up every time i log in

I've noticed it on my lvl 16 mule in Mardia too. I've gained about 40 levels in the last couple of days, and haven't gained one bit of exp.

They are banning a ton of people for it to go up at all. Usually when I log in its down a few hundred, and if I don't log in for awhile its tens of thousands.

84 Priest, i get around 800 exp per day? go up like 20 places.

Haven't played since November '08, and yet I saw my rank go up by like...a few hundred i think couple days ago. And this is at lvl 73

It's true, it is bannings. Unfortunately most of them are so low leveled..
Two higher leveled people in Broa were banned a few days ago for 3days or so because of cursing in front of an invisible GM.. Doesn't seem like they are taking too much interest in the nightly HT hackers though

So in the end, there is nothing to be happy about.

I noticed this, past month has been me getting passed by countless warriors, then all of a sudden jumping back up around 40-50 ranks. The rest I attribute to 4x exp, where I was training my Slinger, not my DrK.
