Same Lvl Hero VS BM Pap solo time

Can anyone give me the exact time for Same Lvl Heroes and BMs to solo Papulatus?


For example, lv 130 Hero solo in xxxminutes, and a lv 130 BM solo in xxxminutes.


It doesn't have to be exact, but i don't want you to GUESS a time either, please if you have real data, post it.

I think BM > hero for pap in theoretical dps. I believe in reality, a hero will do it faster cause of stance + no need to hide during 2nd body/set up puppet.

A level 130 Hero would not have the SP for both Stance and Brandish. It's very likely that if the Hero had either, his Stance would be pretty poor.

Depends on the character's build and buffs that you can get a better estime for time.

The question has way too many variables to consider. People can only make guesses based on a lot of assumptions.

139, 20 SE, ~3702 range, 16 minutes to solo pap with ciders

I think the BM would lose this matchup because I don't know any BMs that could do over 10k consistently to Pap at 130. I know I couldn't. Hell even with my gear now and an optimum build for it, I don't think it's possible. This comparison would be better at 150, but at 130 they're both going to spend way too long dealing with him.

That's definitely new to me, lol...so basically, it wont go into it's shell if I have puppet >>> and manage to keep it pinned <<<? I think I'll try that tonight, lol.

Now that i've thought of it, i'm not just comparing pap, i'm comparing soloing bosses in general. What about BF soloing?

And i'm not just asking about 130. It was a randum number. What bout 150?160?

It really depends. From what I understand a BM would be better at BF for there raw damage. But a 16x Hero there can set up alot better without worry of dieing from BF and also the spawn will not get in the way "as" much since brandish hits 3 targets. Overall I think a BM would win by abit.

To go into this more a Hero would be best at zakum since it can hit 2 ~ 3 arms per brandish. only trouble would be top arms but even then its not to hard with stance.

A BM would have alot more trouble soloing because the summons will get in the way alot more and there will be more lag from them. There DPS is still good, but weaker since arms will take longer.

At Painus a Hero would do better since they can take care of bombs alot easyer and won't get killed off by strangers.

Well...I guess it depends on your definition of efficient.

As a 128 Hero (level 25 Brandish), I can solo Pap in about 40 minutes with just pineapple chews, and 33 with a single apple...but I'm 70 dex and fairly poorly equipped, so I think if you're dexless and well-equipped enough, you should be good starting around 130 to kill it fairly quickly. Second form might be a pain in the ass if you don't have enough accuracy. Assuming you're funded enough, it shouldn't be a problem.

As for BF...that's harder to answer. If you HP wash, earlier, otherwise, it won't be for a while because of BF's touch damage.

Any hero can take down BF as long as you can take a bump hit with PG on. Remember that PG will only reduce its damage by 20% though.

When Heroes can solo pap efficiently depends on your definition of efficient. You'd need to be 150 to have AC,Brandish and Stance maxed. A bowmaster would need to be about 150 to have all essential skills maxed too.

I do know that both a Hero and BM at 15x solo pap in about 9minutes. The speed is about the same, The BM should be faster though, given what the other posts say are true about puppet and it not be able to go into its shell.

i am comparable, at lvl 139 i could solo pap in 20 mins using chews. 5200 range buffed. 25 ac, 24 brandish, 9 mw.

I'm a 165 BM with 5.3k max range with Ciders (no Conc). My time is always no longer than 7 minutes and often around 6 mins and 30 secs.

When I used to compete with a certain really strong 1H Hero, our times were always almost the same. He was always higher leveled than me too.

Edit: Fixed my level and range now that I'm back on MS and remember them. taha
