If Beta Came Back

Uugh, lately (not just this forum, too) there have been so many surges of "OMG BETA!!!!!!" threads.

The community was more friendly but nobody knew about the game. It simply wouldn't WORK now. And I, for one, would not be too happy going back to straight Beta. Level 70+ was near impossible--cargo channels always full, someone camping jrog at every channel, etc. Oh, and Perion Ch1? Screw that. I can still go and have fun with my friends in GMS...I mean if I'm REALLY feeling nostalgic I will just say, "Hay guys. Come on, let's go wipe out some cargo channels..." (Because you know when there were 2+ chs avaiable you'd cycle 'em.)

If all you miss is the community then you probably aren't guilding with the right people...The people I play/friend/guild with are actually people who were semi-acquaintances in Beta, and some new friends who have been added during the several years of play. The community isn't entirely filled with idiots. There are still PLENTY of wonderful players...

The thing with Beta is that everything was new to everyone at the same time, so all the maps nobody uses now scattered all over vic, they were being explored. The deep parts of the dungeon really were treacherous, if I had never played our current version, then i'd do this, but having seen the current day Maple, theres much more to do, i'd get bored of Beta too quickly, sadly =\

People think the hacking problem is bad in maple currently...and you want BETA back?!?! Wow.

I couldn't go back to Beta. The only thing that keeps me going with Maple is the regular new content. I don't have any interest in grinding to level 200 really.

No, I can't live without CPQ or Ludi.
