New Lag Hack

~_~ Oh joy, now the hackers annoy me in the FM too X_X

Basically, from what i can tell, its a spam lag hack, you spam, maple freezes, and it only stops when you close maple, or the hacker stops. Currently in Bello, theres someone doing it in entrance fm 1, wasnt able to get a SS cause it froze maple from that also, imma try and get one tho.

Anyone else in any other worlds gettin hit with this?

the winds stopped hours ago ~_~ but the sad thing is, i checked the stoe that he spammed out to lag people, and it was for a Forsaken guild member X_X hopefully it was just a random choice by the hacker >_<

no, it completely freezes maple, no moving, no screenshoting, noting, absolutely frozen. Im thinking if done long enough it can DC people.

It's not preventing spamming. It's making people lag out from FM1. And that lag hack is old.

i think that in southperry mods actually think if the hacking discussion is important (e.g. warning people from a new hack), or if its a "z0mg i s4w a h4x0r!!!" thread.

on topic, its just a spambot. bad thing is that it lags the whole ch1.

To add onto what it does, yesterday ch 1 bellocan basically crashed. If you tried to cc to it, you got the "This channel is unavailable atm". I think Khaini people experienced this like a year ago? All FM shops in ch 1 were reset and everyone dced off ch 1.

that hack is not new, he was being used on patch 0.61 ~ 62 i guess , got patched and now is back >_< , the problem is that thing lag all the FM, and can crash the whole ch, i hope nexon fix that asap cause seems is very common now, at least in windia 3 ~4 ppl are using that just to stole spots, have fun or w/e.

the curse filter\spam restriction is client sided. it would take way too many server resources to implement another check on the server.

It's really that difficult to make sure people aren't constantly sending 300+ lines per minute? :x You'd think it would be lightner on the server to just disconnect them instead of leaving them alone.

its only difficult when you try and consider just how many lines of chat are being said even in a span of like 3 seconds. Theres easily thousands.
