k uhm... Wth @ Beta?

From a source I'd rather not disclose because I enjoy posting at SouthPerry, I got a Beta gMS Setup. Googled a bit, got MapleDump, and started snooping through the data to see what was there. If it is indeed a Beta Version, Wizet was pro. There's NPCs from everywhere. o.o
Happyville, Ludi, Orbis, Omega. Mobs from Showa. Crap load of NX Items. Even Third Job Skills. I started around v12ish and I distinctly remember no 3rd job. No Cashshop. No Ludi. o_o
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I have absolutely no idea. >_> Maybe they had it all in the data, but didn't release it for the public? o_o

Often times, even though the content is not yet available, it will already be in the wz files, especially because our version did not create all that content.

My friend's going wacko on an Anti-Nexon rant... Lol. :o

Stuff from Ludi and Omega though... Those came long after Beta. o_o

I don't think KMS even had Ludi and Omega during beta years.

They teleported someone to Orbis is beta once. They told us it would come out.

Instead they released Global...


3rd job was being tested by GMs afaik, and Cash shop is just a part of the game. Items come with copying it from KMS >_>

Um, what happened was some guy left a character in Happyville when the Christmas event ended, and the character got teleported to El Nath. Wizet didn't "teleport" anyone to Orbis.

That's what they were doing every time the patch notice said "a more complete version of version .x-1." Adding more things into the data. They just decided not to open any of the new content until official.

They may have had it during Beta, but it wasn't out during Beta.

I can see this being possible. But you will never find a for sure answer, since no one really extracted data back then. o.O

That's a lie - you just enjoy posting in general.

And I'm sure gMS was based off of kMS or another version that already had a couple of years going. They probably copied a lot of the data over to begin with and planned out how and when certain areas would be released. It would make sense to have an idea of when content will be coming out within the next couple of years. :X

Having data in the WZ before it's released is nothing new to me.
Having data in Beta Files that wasn't released for 3.5-4 years after Beta is what shocked me. (Showa Mobs)

Showa's been going in and coming out of the data for ages.

There was alot of data in the beta files that was never released. old news
