*So, DOES 2X drop work on bosses?*

We've all wondered this at one point. Some people say yes, some say no.

Like the title reads, does it work on bosses such as Zakum and Horntail? I'm looking for actual personal experience and not random speculation. Let's get to the bottom of this once and for all.

Is there any way to verify such a thing by searching the data?

Is there ever a way to conclusively know if its possible or not?

Just don't forget that the 2x drop events always suck plantain.

Yes it does and the same rules still apply. The person who has the 2x drop card has to do the most dmg for it to work.

zakum:
the one that uses double drop needs to do most dmg on 1st 2nd and 3rd body together and he/she needs to deal the last blow to 3rd body.

for horntail ive heard that the one with double drop needs to be in the party that deals the most dmg (on left arm or horntail total?). and he/she needs to deal the last blow.

My old Guild in Bellocan Zakum'd with x2 drop. My level 150ish NL friend always solo'd the last about, 1/6th of Zakum and x2 drop would always work.

yea solo'ing the last inches at 3rd body kind of guarantees that you
1. outdmg the rest
2. do the last hit.

it even works for me as a hero when we lacked strong nl's

I was in a guild Zakum run as a 116 Hermit, while there were a 165 Bowmaster and 137 Night Lord. I dealt the final hit with a 2x drop card, and 4-5 Zakum Helmets dropped. Therefore, I'd say as long as the person with a 2x drop is in the main attacking party and deals the last hit the 2x drop will work.

well thats an interesting question, without double drop its also possible for 5 helms to drop but the odds are bad. anyways since it works the same way at horntail i think what you are saying is correct.

however i doubt that 2x drop at horntail works for eggs/pendants

In my experience (many HT's and Z-runs) The person has to deal the most damage. As long as the person who dealt the most damage is in the party that got the "kill" hit, I think it is ok. Not sure though.

I don't see why it should'nt work. Otherwise the card would've said so in the description.

Taunt =/= NX cash. Of course it wouldn't work on bosses. That would makes sense AND cost less. Money > everything
