Present Tokyo has made an appearance to the world map. Showa, Tokyo and Ninja Castle are unclickable. Showa's world map had been reverted into the untranslated Japanese version (no difference other than the text), which makes me think Showa is now inaccessible.

There's a Burning Event from Sept. 17th ~ Oct. 19th/20th.

They uploaded the manual patcher for Nexon Launcher.

I hope GameLauncher will remember the region AND the world, like it remembers the world currently, so I'll just have to hit "Enter" twice instead of once. Don't like extra clicks.

Place it in your MapleStory folder and let it run. There'll be no dialog/anything for you to press. When the temp folder is deleted, that's when you'll know it is done.

Actually back in mid beta there was a region select screen that predates the one used by MapleSEA.

Though that was when the two regions were about to split between the current regions of GMS and MapleSEA. It was sometime after the beta had switched from logging with in the email address over to an account name, if memory serves me well.

Interesting, Also seems like we keeping our IGN since they made an announce about force name changing characters with special characters. But it turn out to be only characters with <,> . - @ that shouldnt be possible to use on any ms version. Their post was so vague.

Character and guild names with symbols (for example: >.<) will be changed during
the September 7th maintenance. These names will be changed to 'InvalidName<number>'
and 'InvalidGuild<number>'

If your character / guild name has been changed to 'InvalidName' / 'InvalidGuild' during the
September 7th maintenance, you can submit a ticket to the Customer Support to have the
name changed. When submitting a name change request, please provide 3 new names.
Please note that the name can have a maximum of 13 characters.

Special characters like accented names didnt change (I kept Shïøn, Shïon, Shîon)

Funny thing is that im known as Shion on my server (and somehow here too) and I was about to lose those names. Original one is somewhere banned (not me)

Does this mean that, after months upon months of hiatus, I can finally return to MS? Being in UK sure has its issues.

They are fixing invalid names from an exploit that's been around since a very long time ago.

Don't see anything. Only a crystal in the middle of town which just goes to Henesys as of now.

The burning event at the node immediately preceding this one didn't occur either (it was set for April or something, and oddly enough like the one that was set for today, was set to start at 10AM, while the others at at midnight), and the three before that one were the three from this summer. I don't think all of them correspond to actual burning events held in GMS.

Alternatively, I think it might possibly be to enable the Burning Character coupons that people got (from either the new or returning player events).
