Masteria Through Time - Blockbuster impressions

Those two points I can only think is that, she was able to go back to CWK because she ran at that moment and that they are from versal would make the island moving to versal as the rock exploded resonable, as for the family feud I think 1000 years could have made it into something else but that they changed the statue of current CWK with the one from the past is just plain stupid (it could have been diferent since the old statue could have crumbled and a new with four arms was made since the people who build it thought it was like that), but the thing that irks me the most is that they say they are from versal and they don't look at all like elpam gorlab(maybe they're not because they are from that race of immortal warriors but I doubt it).

Maybe the sun hadn't been eaten yet.

So after completing all 4 acts, there is no new boss. Sorry to anyone who was thinking there would be one. Dialogue gets repeated two sometimes three times from an NPC, which is jarring. The only boss you fight is really meh. Oh well you get a big chair and 2 medals that are equal stats but I assume one of them will continue to be released while the other is just from an event.

It should also be noted that you get an android with a shop for completing all the acts as well.

Acts 3 and 4 are only slightly better than 1 and 2.

The transitions are still clunky, the plot holes get bigger, and the "clear the map" assignments are boring.
Slight improvements are the "hazards" in the enemy maps - the columns (would have been more interesting if they were actually deadly, but oh well) and the tilted maps (not sure about the point of that... and the aliasing was really ugly, especially for text).
There is also a boss fight, more annoying than dangerous, and not at the end either.
And there are "Quick Time Events" which, as far as I can tell, aren't really quicktime because there is no time limit or attempt limit on them.

But the rewards are nice. Shop android! We used to have to collect 3000 coins over weeks of box farming for one... Maybe Nexon thinks that sitting through this "Blockbuster" is just as painful? Medal is good, chair is obnoxiously huge, what else could one want?
Oh yeah, 3 black cubes and a fusion anvil if you finish it all by April 19.

Yeah I saw that set.. I assume you get the other pieces from those quests the NPC's give out? But I'm probably wrong.

What if Nexon wanted the new post blockbuster area to be the revamped Crimsonwood Keep? That's my theory. As for a new boss, no idea.

You get each piece by doing all the quests of the respective NPC.

I can see this.

I don't think it was as bad as people say. Let's face it guys. The original writers are gone. Time to move past it. I'm sorry. It wasn't fantastic. But, it wasn't bad either. It was just okay to me honestly. The killing and qucick time events were..weird but overall the story was fine. We may never know what Prose and the original writers REALLY wanted to do. We will never know unless they come out and say so. I think there will be more to come, infact I know there is.

Personally, I'm judging it by 3 things: How the story works regarding Masteria's lore, how the story works on its own merits, and how it works as a blockbuster (gameplay and such).
In terms of Masteria: To me, it's the equivalent of the Star Wars prequels in terms of contradictions, among other things.
On its own merits: Honestly, as its own story, I have this to say: "eh". I didn't like how they made Dr. Jang into a "Waahh nobody loved me so I'm going to let myself get manipulated by this guy who says he needs me" type of character. The story wasn't as interesting as I'd hoped it to be honestly.
As a blockbuster: People said this before, but it doesn't really feel like much of a blockbuster. To me, it feels more like FriendStory in terms of execution rather than Black Heaven. The rewards are good, though.

But that's just me.

I agree it does not feel like much like a blockbuster. Nothing on the par of Black Heaven and certainly not on the par of Heroes Reborn. Wasn't a fan of Dr. Jang either, kind of rolled my eyes. Especially since we were led to believe Dr. Krakia was here to pineapple pomegranate up. To be fair she did, but not how we thought so. I think the Star Wars prequels are a good comparison. My thoughts on those are kind of the same. Not fantastic and not bad. I enjoyed parts of it but overall it could be better. If this leads into more Masteria updates I'll be okay with that. I guess we'll see.

Lireni is a shadowknight, right?
also, the war was supposed to have lasted a whole ten years. the blockbuster turns that into a short couple of days

Sadly this story who was pretty hyped, Nexon manages to utterly destroy it and make it into a fan fic.

idunno, I'd imagine fanfics wouldn't contradict the source material so much.
that being said you may be on to something. I wonder who Dr. Jang is in real life...

To be fair, Icebyrd Slimm is actually based on NxProse in real life. Makes me wonder about Dr. Jang though.
