Is NexonNA trying to kill Reboot World?

Well if you guy dont like reboot world might as well go back to the world you came from.... i like reboot world even if they farm billion mesos they cant trade gear or sell in market
why even bother buying account in reboot world when u can just go to normal world and do that cuz in reboot world it just too hard to sell anything if you are quitting maplestory

Because of the small chance that you can have super pro leet gear on a character that people would totally believe that you legit farmed up yourself.
Really they're only fooling themselves if they believe that anyone would think they farmed up several billion mesos legitimately.
I still think the idea/concept of reboot is a good idea, I enjoy being able to just get cubes from mesos or boss drops or whathaveyou. I think some of the rates should be adjusted (cubes should be about half the price they are now IMO). And hoenstly the server's only been up for about a month. People expecting nexon to move quickly on bugs like this either forgot about their track record or believed that reboot was going to be some sort of awakening in nexon to allow them to fix bugs in record time. Nexon's probably not even been in the office the past week or two save for a skeleton crew to make sure the servers don't melt down. I'd just give it some time and hope that the major bugs get fixed. (Gollux, Link Skills, Etc...)

Except as Bryan already mentioned, there's a trade hack going around that allows you to trade in Reboot so this whole botting / hacking issue is kind of a big deal with the trading thing going on.

Man, like, I can't say I didn't expect this, but this is such a disappointing read

This server is pineappleed, but we all knew this from the start.

Really sad how a group of people and a group of incompetent people within a company ruin something insanely good so well it becomes garbage.

Had seen another hacker try taking him down if it was any consolation. Methinks Nexon needs to start hiring some white hats as of yesterday to root out the black ones. And from what I overheard, the bugger was bragging about the hack being one that has been in play for 6 years and counting.

Saw on the /r/maplestory subreddit a thread that someone has killed normal Lotus on reboot already. That's kind of fucking impossible I would think. I'm not trying to call anyone a hacker but for pineapple's sake, that dude has almost 3 trillion hp, most people in normal maple couldn't even do that.

The guy is actually a blatant hacker (rebootrank1) and doesn't even try to hide it. Whether or not the other people he smegad with follow suit is not (publicly) known I guess

So Reboot actually got me back on this game, and consequentially, this forum.

I just want to say that the possibility of Reboot being converted to a normal, pay2win world once its population dies down is likely. The interest in bringing in meso bags pretty much implies this, in my book.

They're probably waiting until people have played long enough to get emotionally invested enough into their characters on it before opening the floodgates on the aggressive changes, while quoting 'lack of income' as justification. Once players are that deep into the game they'll likely swallow the changes and are counting on the people that will do so willingly.

With this in the back of my head, im playing right now and enjoying it with this possibility in mind. So i don't plan to get that invested.

At this point, it's probably better to have meso sacks anyways. pay2win vs cheat2win--pick your poison (Doesn't solve the botting problem but does crowd out the hackers)

all they need to do is get their devs off their asses and fix the non-KMS maps. that'll stop a lot of the "legit" botters. then they need to ban the blatant hackers crowding the top of the rankings, and work their way down. hopefully we see things get better over the next few weeks now that break is over. i've already been seeing a lot of people getting permanently banned for macroing/botting.

I guess it comes from the experience i had with El-Nido no longer being an East Coast server. As someone who hasn't played a Nexon game in years I'm a bit guarded. However the fact that you guys have a positive viewpoint means that my dated viewpoint could use an update.

Lol that is so stupid I don't know if this is protocol from higher up or what because i'm pretty sure the smart thing to do would ban hackers instantly as they would likely just start up a new account and do it again anyway.
