It sticks to the same tactic they've used for years - draw in new players, hope they spend money, and even better if any of them stick around as whales. Corporate apparently thinks it's a better use of their money than making current players happy.
I'm sure they weren't paid very much, either. No idea on a price though, so I could be wrong.

I'd chalk it up to incompetence over anything else (aside from the Hardware issue, which is reasonably because the game hasn't had this many players on it in about 6 years).

I'm most bothered by the underwhelming cash shop, in particular the weapon cover selection is very disappointing as a non-explorer job. There's only 2 or 3 weapon covers I can choose from and further they only last 90 days. Really?? At least give us more variety, if it's going to be 90-day only :/.

For real this cash shop agitates me so much. I complain about it every day and my friends probably hate me for it by now

Well on server select it had Reboot, Bera, and Scania so probably not Tespia. Maybe just some special server for the streamers.

Just heard him mention it was a test server. The girl's voice is probably the most annoying thing. Oh, he has a GM following him around giving him everything.
