How can Damien be a resistance job? if he is a job who else could be the next final boss for this Blockbuster? Arkarium would fit very well but I don't think they will releasse a second version of the same boss. Why release a new job when Demon should be playing a huge role in this new Blockbuster, yet he is not (yet)?
Something seems fishy, as lame as I find it I think a 3rd variation of Demon Slayer makes the most sense here. Demon Punisher anyone?

After finishing Act 1, I have to say this skeleton animation system has made a ton of cool things possible, Aran's a total badass smashing through ice and going 1v1 against Damien.

You got me wrong bro. I know Damien is not entirely a bad guy and is being manipulated, but same could be said about Lotus. Point is that if he is not the main villain of this BB, then who else could it be? and a second version of Arkarium? that sounds unlikely.
they adding new art for Demon could very well be the same as they adding new art for Aran, Evan and the other heroes. I still think a new Demon branch to play a big role here makes the most sense (while being boring).

Supposedly, this is the new Resistance job and they are supposed to be released on the 22nd? Either that or testing. Given that these two look nothing alike, I imagine this will be a regular resistance job like Battle Mage/Wild Archer/Mechanic.
