New nexon launcher glitch or something else?

The weirdest thing just happened, and I'm wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing. I was afk for a few minutes in Leafre, and out of the blue this message pops up:

I didn't know what to do, so I did nothing. The game then crashed a few seconds later to the world selection screen, then it disappeared completely. I was logged on through the new nexon launcher btw. The launcher had a note to relaunch it because there was an update, which I did, relogging onto the game but ...

At the character select screen, it informed me that I needed to "create" a PIC, which was very surprising because I obviously have been playing and I have one. Once I got back on the game, the notice popped up that I had logged in from a different IP address (which I did not) and I got the 15-minute hell ban thing on my account.

Has this happened to anyone else? Thank you.

It happened to me when a GM got on my account.

Do you have a ticket open that they might have needed to investigate?

No, I haven't submitted a ticket in a while. That would explain the IP thing, though, a GM going on my account. And a friend said that the message looked like something from a gm or a hacker. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum.

That happens when a GM goes on your account. Only way afaik that your PIC gets reset like that is when a GM logs on to look at something.
Did you happen to have a glitched codex before it was fixed?

Codex was not glitched, but the only thing I could think of was that I am one of those people who still cannot complete Grand Athenaeum even after they fixed its sending you to Star World because the npc in chapter 1 that is supposed to have a quest for me ... doesn't. So, I checked on that last night, but there's still no quest so that I can continue. Not sure what they were doing at this point.

Just never had that happen before and was a little freaked out but feeling a bit better since the consensus seems to be that it was a gm.

I know they suddenly decided to crack down on that, so they might have wanted to check it.

First time I've ever heard of that. Didn't even know it was a thing. o.o

Just wish they would shoot me an email or something instead of sneaking around on my account with no explanation.
