Important Info About World Alliances Next Week

We are almost ready for next week, when we will add more World Alliances on Tuesday, June 9! In preparation for the event, we have some important updates to share with you. To read more about World Alliances, please click here to read our earlier post.

Which worlds are getting alliances?

• Broa and Khaini will become a World Alliance.
  
• Bellocan and Mardia will become a World Alliance.
  • Bellocan is already allied with Nova. Mardia is already in a World Alliance consisting of Mardia, Kradia, Yellonde, and Chaos.
    
  • Now Bellocan, Nova, Mardia, Kradia, Yellonde, and Chaos will all be part of the same World Alliance.
    
• Demethos and Renegades will become a World Alliance.
  • Demethos is already in a World Alliance consisting of Demethos, Galicia, El Nido, Zenith, and Arcania.
    
  • Now Renegades, Demethos, Galicia, El Nido, Zenith, and Arcania will all be part of the same World Alliance.
    
• Scania, Bera, and Windia will not enter any World Alliances at this time.
  

Guilds

Guild names are unique per world, which means when several worlds enter into a World Alliance, there may be some duplicate guild names. As of May 20, we began temporarily restricting guild creation so any new guild names could be checked against the names in each world entering a World Alliance. This is to minimize the number of potential guilds with the same name in the new alliance. However, there will still be some duplicate names. Here is a timeline of what to expect:

June 9 - The MapleStory servers will go down for an all-day maintenance. It takes a lot of time to create the World Alliances, and we want to make sure that everything works correctly. If two or more guilds on the new allied world share the same guild name or guild alliance name, they will be renamed automatically by adding a letter (such as “A” or “B”) or a number (such as “1” or “2”) after the guild name. All names will be 12 characters long. If your guild or guild alliance name was longer than this, it will be shortened to 12 characters.

June 9 - 18 - Guild and guild alliance creation will be blocked. You will not be able to create new guilds or guild alliances during this time. Creation will be enabled again after the scheduled maintenance on June 18.

June 11 – December 31 - Guild and guild alliance leaders who were affected by the duplicated names will see a pop-up when they login to MapleStory. This pop-up will allow the leader to change the name of the guild or guild alliance. Only the leader will receive the pop-up. If the leader of your guild or guild alliance is no longer active in MapleStory, you should contact Customer Support. The name can only be changed once, and the pop-up will only be available until the end of the year 2015. After December 31, the guild or guild alliance leader will not be able to change the name in-game, and will instead need to contact Customer Support. Please provide your top 3 choices for a new guild name when submitting a ticket.


Level 200 Statues

The maps that contain statues of the first few players to reach Lv. 200 will be reset during the World Alliance maintenance. If you had your statue in one of these maps, you will need to speak to your job instructor again after the maintenance is complete in order to reinstate your statue. Because there will now be even more eligible players than there are spots in the map, you will need to speak to your job instructor immediately if you want to be able to claim a spot for your statue.

It says "If you had your statue in one of these maps," so I assume so.
That's how it was when the previous alliances were made.
I do hope they fixed the bugs they had then, though. As I recall, there was an issue with pirates making statues in the thief room, or vice versa. Also with statues being made and replaced and remade. Big mess.

idk it just feels redundant that people would want to have statue that no one will look at except for the people whom it is for fueling their egos. normal maplers won't really care / even know about the place so whats the point ? a statue is meant to be seen and appreciated but if no one even looks at it theres no purpose.
