This = amazing for non-Mage's.

Does this spells the end of leechers?

Aggravate Wrote:This = amazing for non-Mage's. No...... now it means non-mages are gonna get shafted. The person who does the most damage is going to get the experience now. Since training with a bishop/mage, they do wayyyyyyyyyyy more damage, now we won't get as much experience when we train with them. This is gonna mean a lot of people are gonna just solo since partying isn't going to be as good. I think things are just fine the way they are. Who gives a shiet if people leech, let them leech. It doesn't effect anyone else except the 2 that do it. Actually this means mages are going to level up even faster than before :f6:

I think it's gonna be based on your actualy kills your can do in theory vs what you actually kill.
So let's say: - When you afk leech, you get only 1% of the exp. of the party exp. - When you train normally (actual kill monsters), you will get just the normal exp/hour as you would get now. If not more since HS gets boosted... Yay for this change! It seems Nexon is REALLY trying to improve their game now! First skills, now the party system!
Devil Wrote:I think it's gonna be based on your actualy kills your can do in theory vs what you actually kill. yah...
Those numbers are just weird, for example the lower player gets more exp from leeching than the higher player does (in GMS it's the opposite - lower players get less % from leeching than higher player)
On the other hand it's also less exp. A level 133 doing no damage in GMS would get 38.8% off a kill, not 19.2%.

Seems like it will encourage people to party others who are higher than them. The person who is lower level will get more experience. In other words, now leechers will level faster than before. Edit: Yeah, if you also add up the numbers from the lower level attacking and the higher leveled leeching about 5k of the exp minus party EXP is missing.

Orit Wrote:Not necessarily. The solution is simple: increase exp awarded for Healing party members. I just hope Nexon implements something like that along with the new leech formulas. Do you realize how stupid that sounds. People normally pot even with a priest in the party. Also, how would you make it so that clerics gained the same amount of experience from healing as opposed to mobbing at himes. Also, your method could also lead to unfair lvling as a DK could just roar for 2 hours then a Priest would heal then gain ridiculous xp.

It works fantastically on TF2, where if you heal someone while he kills, you get that kill too. However, in maple, it wouldn't work out, as the way heal works in this game is as a skill used once, like a shot, not a steady heal recovery...

There are MMOs out there where if you Heal a party, you don't get EXP for Healing, ya know. I can't say much since I haven't seen the changes for myself, eh.

Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Surprise no one posted this from sw yet im on the fence about these changes. Its still not that fair that bishops/AMs get to sit in practically one spot and lvl 3~5 times faster than other classes. And anyone who says AMs are slow in 3rd job, you are obviously doing it wrong, cause at WS in my 80s, i was always ksed by an I/L mage, and that I/L mage usually lvled twice before i lvled >_> and F/P mages misting 2 chs at once? ~_~ Basically im OK with the idea of leeching, as long as there is compensation or something. Thats why if i were to leech from an AM, i would refuse to pay, and argue that me attack on the bottom is fair enough as they attack the top.

Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Surprise no one posted this from sw yet ahahaha they should just remove non-magician classes from the game. I feel sorry for anyone that will have to deal with this from a lower level.

If i'm interpreting all this right....
Does this mean the end, not for leechers, but for KSers!?

Takebacker Wrote:If i'm interpreting all this right.... and we have hit the obviously overlooked question! but idk, so far tests were done with partied leeching, so we'll have to see.

It also seems that overkill is awesome now...
Maybe if you hit double what the monsters HP is you get double the monsters exp? Doesn't sound like it would work, i mean, imagine how much exp you would get using anything that hits over 100k on a snail. |
