The return of Dungeon Fighter Online (OPEN BETA PT. I STARTS MARCH 24TH!).
Dredragon Wrote:Fixed.
But really, all I can thing of is like npc your white equips, dissasemble blue, and what I did in my poor man days for purples+ that I didn't need, I put em on auction house. Assuming these tips still are unchanged.
Try to remember your skill commands for less cd and mana consumption, try not to spam, and save your good potions.

Can we buy those pomegranatety 150 hp/mp potions in kdnf, or was that dfona peaching only

How about controller usage? I have a Ps3 with SCP
Can't help you there. I did use a controller, but it was just a pomegranatety after glow ps3 controller. I'd assume it would work, if that's what you're asking.
In the end I preferred to use the keyboard anyway, since I dont't like putting in commands with a joystick, and that controller's dpad sucked.
Arrol Wrote:How about controller usage? I have a Ps3 with SCP

Just like Dred said, NPC your white equips for the optimum gold gains, disassemble all blue equips for the highest cube gains, then use high-level player-owned disassemblers to grind your Magic Sealed equipment, which gives you a higher chance at gold cube fragments. Manual inputs aren't super important for mana/CD purposes, but they are there. Just remember that you can change the actual input to make it something that is easier for you to remember in the heat of combat.

As far as controllers go, make sure you have good software for the controller. I'm not sure about the DS3 controller, but I use a DS4 via Bluetooth and Xpadder, which works wonders for both hotkeys and manual inputs. If you have any questions about how to set up the software, just PM me and I can guide you through it or I can provide you with guides/links.

EDIT: I decided to start an LGBT and Ally guild for the beta, for anyone who is interested in that sort of thing.

"You have to spend money to make money"
FP will limit how much you can do on each character a day, so try to make the most of it.

Oh curse you, I'd totally join if not for my UNDYING LOYALTY to TeamRocket. I do hope that takes off, though!

EDIT: To clarify previous statements, anyone in SP is welcome, so if you wish to join the ranks of the Rockets, we will more than gladly invite you in when the Beta goes live!

Google as much as you can about guides and whatnot. Definitely used the DFO Subreddit to ask questions that you can't find out yourself; it's at least far better than DFOSource, given the bad apples that sh'itposted here many months ago. The other DFO forums can work too, but I don't know how "qualitative" they are since I'm very sure many ex-DFOSource people are on each of those forums.

Git gud; you only get 3 free tokens a day, so you eventually learn to play carefully or efficiently. On top of getting gud, there should be Practice Mode for each dungeon. Use that to your advantage if you want to test and see if you can clear the place; consumable items are unlimited there, which lets you goof around as well.

Save up potions, but don't be too stingy with them. You don't want to die just because you didn't want to use your 1-3 of your 1,000 Expert HP Potions.

Auction House is your best friend. I can guarantee the overwhelming majority of stuff sold and bought will be in here.

Not sure what class to play? Find Youtube videos to see how they work. Do take note if the character has godly gear, since that may skew your views of the class. However, it still helps to see what sort of high-end stuff your class can do.

Thanks to the free SP resets, play what you want, how you want it. BUT, do know that as you experiment you'll eventually find an optimal build. Also if you plan to do the Outerverse stuff, you may need to switch to a more cookie cutter build depending on who you play. OVs are rather gimmicky, so small things like having an extra skill or switching skill levels around may make things much easier.

Don't trust Kiri with your money (aka the Female Gunner NPC who can upgrade your gear). At best, get +10 weapons/armor/accessories from her, and purchase stronger ones from others. If you upgrade past +10, there's always that chance your equipment simply gets destroyed with no chance of recovery (so think Enhancement scrolls before the latest changes to make it more bearable). If you hate that feeling of losing all your money when you gamble, you'd want to avoid Kiri like ebola. She's a gold black hole, period.

Profession wise, always have an Alchemist and a Disassembler; 1st is essential to make your own potions, and the 2nd lets you always have someone able to shred up those white/blue gear. Doll Makers and Enchanters are nice too, but they're more of a gold sink before they even start paying off.

There are level 20 (IIRC) dailies where you can get quick and easy alchemy materials. Do em, and keep track of which materials sell the most. You'll make a lot of your money that way just by selling them on the AH.

But overall, have fun and don't get too mad at the game. There's the correlation that when you get too mad/angry at a game you begin going on tilt and sucking even more, which becomes a cycle of suffering. Play another character or on an easier dungeon difficulty if that helps. Otherwise, just come back to the game when you're more calm.

Hope it takes off, man!
Kiri made me a multibillionaire huehuehue but thats more so thanks to the chinamen

Kiri was complete butts to me in Nexon DFO. I only made one +13 from pouring almost half a billion gold to her. Frown

Yeah I never really bothered venturing into the +13 territory.
just buying base equips and selling them at +10 made so much profit it was beyond ridiculous. I really shouldnt have used the NX i got from dfo on maple. Biggest mistake of my life.

Play with people. : D
Neople on FB Wrote:[Important announcement for OBT Part 1]

Detailed OBT Part 1 schedule will be revealed from DFO Newsletter, so if you haven’t registered for newsletter, please do it now.

<To the ones who participated in Alpha test>

- To recover character data from Alpha test, you must log in with Facebook accounts used then.

- All or partial character data from Alpha test may disappear on OBT Part 1, if you create a new account and do not register
with Facebook account used back then.

- Please carefully select a server, because your initial choice decides which server the Alpha test characters are recovered.

<New system updates>

- Great Metastasis: a great wave of change happening in the Arad Continent

- New dungeons and quests

- New classes including Dark Knight and Creator

- Good-old fatigue system from blitz system

- Improved trade system update to intensely deal with hackers, bots and fraud, illegal gold sellers*

*We will strongly protect our good customers. In-game gold moving(through mailbox and private) among accounts is not technically supported. Auction Hall system is still available.

Allrighty. We need to unite around a server as soon as the info is posted then.
Do tell, as much as i loved the game back them, i was sick of soloing the frigging game with every char.
I'm so torn on sticking with my Alpha account, soley because I'm still uncomfortable with using my Facebook account. :|

But after the initial transfer, we do not need to? That's the way I understood it, anyway.

Another interesting question is if the server will be located in South Korea, and if the faulty, archaic p2p conection system will be left as it was.
Either thing might become a real issue when partying.
I'd say keep it around just in case alpha testers get shiny weapons or avatars. If not, then no harm in restarting, right?

Why are they saying moving gold through mail box is not technically supported? If we can do it that way, then it technically is supported, right? Unless that's gone now.
Whatevs, that's what account storage is for.

Does anyone have a website or list of all the features act 4 has so I can hype the friends who haven't played the game before?

Karen, this is you in the future.

The lack of F Slayers makes me sad.
Damn. So is this pre 2nd awakenings?
Arrol Wrote:Damn. So is this pre 2nd awakenings?

Quote:It's the 2nd awakening chaser launcher. Burning buffs giving +2 all skills for BM/SB adds up a lot. This is also the first time I've played this class with burning buffs after somefool geared full support SB and they fixed one of the many low damage bugs related to Strengthened Chaser Launcher.

It's about as strong as base Chaser Press, but the per level scaling on it is really high. Every point is +10% additional on the all chaser damage modifier of the 3 chasers it uses. Apostlize chasers are mainly percent physical, so those are actually pretty useless for this build/setup. I just go into it to min max the terrible +300ish Int I get while in that form and for the super hold just in case the room starter fails.
CarrionCrow Wrote:Allrighty. We need to unite around a server as soon as the info is posted then.

So wait, does that mean they will be using the KR version of fatigue, not even blitz? :L
