Job Experts - Nexon needs your help!

Hey Maplers,

I've been brainstorming some ideas for increasing our reception to player feedback/critiques and, to move forward with this, I was wondering if you guys could potentially point us in the direction of specific players who you feel are "experts" on the job they "main".

It would be cool to get a community-discussed list of players you guys consider to be someone who could be the "go-to" for a specific job (feel free to self-nominate). Could you guys try to list IGN/World, as well as forum name here or on the official forums? Thank you!

i nominate joetang for everything damage related if he still cares, but i think he doesn't.

haven't been on the classes section of the other forums though so i don't feel i know who's "in" on each class currently. i guess [MENTION=4093]SaptaZapta[/MENTION]; for heroes, [MENTION=128]Stereo[/MENTION]; for the adventurer warriors (haven't seen him in a while though) and [MENTION=7659]Kashimiya[/MENTION]; for DrK too.

Myself, for Explorer -> Warrior -> Hero class!

I'll self nominate myself for Paladin, although I'm nowhere near being the best Paladin and only maybe slightly above average for character control (not to mention I'm not even a Paladin anymore)

Read the title thinking something completely different.

If I still actively played I'd nominate myself for F/P Arch Mage, but since I do not, I'd have to say [MENTION=12480]Sungoon[/MENTION];.

It's a pity that barely anyone bothers to play completely pot-less, that you don't/barely take mob damage and hence need no HP pots. Jr. Boogie familiar solved the drastic MP problem for GMS, even though potting is now completely irrelevant to most people's gameplay now. Hence I feel the concept of "expertise" has, unfortunately, shrunk to mostly bossing (although therein things have evolved too).

Nevertheless, anything to do with DPS per class goes straight to JoeTang. Specific stats-comparison from equipment should be thrown out for more... "cloud computing". For good training places etc., little tricks of the trade, specific skill mechanics and other little details, if anyone bothers, I'm still around for Luminous, but I cannot play anymore so my training places are very outdated. I can chip in for calculations here and there, when I have time. I think I still know most of the skill mechanics for most classes.

I'd also like to include AranBhav, he's been with us Arans since the beginning, too.

Well, I'm not a half bad Night Lord at this moment, so I guess I can nominate myself! (MetalAlx, Bera)

I have more experience than DPS, though.

Nominating the highly skilled and very knowledgeable FanMasher from Khaini for kanna expert. He knows that job class inside and out, and he can take on any boss in the game with little to no trouble at all.

Just as a quick note for everyone, if you have questions, I recommend checking the Official thread on the MapleStory forums (http://maplestory.nexon.net/community/#%...26nxid%3D6).

One particular note of interest is that if you were to be chosen for this currently work-in-progress "project", you would be required to interact with your community a leader/expert, both in-game, and on the official MapleStory forums.

I'd just like to say that you're long overdue at trying to talk to these people. The ambiguity in skill descriptions and other esoteric aspects of classes mean that, quite frequently, players are much more knowledgeable about how classes are played and function than anyone from Nexon. I'd love to see some new, extended communication between Nexon and class 'experts' about things like armor break. BMs have been confused about the intended (and actual) functionality of this skill for months because it's never worked as the description implies. Thanks for finally making the effort.

Archers:

MM = Marksman Bryan
BM = VerrKol/Zenith (myself, airforce1 on basil) and RyujinFujin/Windia (bluebomber24 on basil)
Mercedes = Elufu/Scania (big poster on basil)
WH = ??? I don't think there are any forum experts on this anymore...
WA = me again, though I haven't "mained" it since I swapped back to BM with RED
