All of those ways are pure stupidity in the luck factor.

The worst part is that it's a really, really, really easy fix from the developers' side. Just stop Conquest from showing from BoR. That's all they need to do. Or they can even make Horsemen Mini-Bosses drop cubes at a low rate. Anything to make it so you don't need to get 4 specific bosses with what is almost no margin for error.

I've gotten Pyromaniac twice now...and the Habit in one of those runs...but I forced myself into damage for 7 Dice Rolls in a shop with 2 Shop Items and got no Sharp Plug. The luck factor is just freaking frustrating to no end.

I'm pretty surprised you managed to get the unlocks in the Depths; everyone that I've seen use this method has waited until the Chest before spamming Monster Manual. I think you were too worried about trying to find the specific item combination early on, which is why you had such a hard time with it. Congratulations nonetheless though.

They must be high. What would make them think that was a good idea? People are complaining like crazy on Reddit and Steam Forums about the Book of Revelations attempts being complete chance, which you almost always lose. I tried it myself for a while before I gave up on that. Stupidest achievements ever.

What exactly did they do to change it? I'm guessing Meat Cubes and Bandage Balls won't spawn from using Monster Manual anymore?
I can't seem to find a lists of changes aside from the 3 "major" ones.

Honestly....Getting Meat Boy / Bandage Girl, and then a 1UP, took longer and felt far more frustrating than The Lost, which is pretty ridiculous.

Couldn't agree more. It's like there's a nerf to another item every week...

Some runs can get really frigging op lol, transformed into guppy and man thats OP, flying with chance to spawn blue flies, the fun part is that i got chocolate milk + lung + brimstone, so i have like 10 or 20 blue flies around me all the time pomegranate gets killed before i finish entering the room lol.

To add insult to injury, Guppy Paw (1 heart container for 3 soul hearts) + Converter (2 soul container for 1 heart container) = Max health (At least 9 to 10 hearts with 1 or 3 soul containers), this game is made to be broken lol.

For future reference, you can use Seeds for the first three characters and as long as you don't die you can restart as much as you want and it doesn't count against you.

Yeah just unlocked it just now, i just kept R pressed on azazel until i got something good to start.

Bought this game a few days ago, and it is pretty good. I keep dying on floor 3. Idk why but it is always floor 3. A little spooky omen if you ask me oo

I play the first one to try to beat mom but for some reason I always die on floor 2. So to me, Rebirth is just a tad easier (Or maybe I am just bad at both games). Either way... Addicting, fun, 8/10 for both xD

Yes, it does. Familiars don't though.
Another good option is Unicorn Stump + any orbital(s).

Becoming Guppy is some insane batshit, having a multishot/multihit skill like brimstone or mounstros lung enables you to mass produce flies at a insane speed which will kill anything in 1-2 shots easily, hell i had a breeze during an isaac hard boss rush with Lungs + Guppy + Lil Brimstone (Rest where mostly crap items), easily had like 20 flies around me most of the time, sadly i could not get the item that increases the flies/spider size/damage early on :/.

After a series of frustrating runs with The Lost I finally get the gold:

Dead Cat + 1 UP + Stop Watch + Shielded Tears
Short Range Mega Tears + Scythes + various tear and DMG ups

Beat ??? in the chest with a few cat lifes to spare.
