SBB level helps, but it isn't the end all. Some of my friends have done it with SBB1/2/3.

You should be able to 1 squad pretty easily with
Lilly Lead
Exvehl
Darvanshel
Tia
Rowgen
Grah / Tridon Friend

The only real problem I have with using multiple squads is the 2nd and 3rd squad will come in with nothing to their name and I'm not a fan of having to waste Fujins to get them caught up.

SBB level helps in that higher SBB levels generally have lower BC cost. Even though I wasn't terribly struggling with BB gauges using Lily as leader, I still had to pop all 5 Fujins for emergency mitigation or heals - and I had SBB10 on everything except Grah (of course).

I personally think that 1 squad works better than 2, since the 2nd doesn't really have enough time to get BB gauges up before being wiped. If your #1 squad is strong enough to beat Maxwell, then it should be strong enough to get through Juggernaut and Abaddon without using any items, as long as you don't mess up or get screwed by bad RNG.

I also wouldn't bring Elza; she'll take so much damage that you'll either spend too much trying to keep her alive, or she just won't be contributing enough to be worth it. The only dark units you should bring are Grah and Lily, period. Grah won't live through the fight (probably), and Lily should be carefully guarded to keep your S/BBs going.

Only reason I say to get damage to SBB10 is so you don't become one of those pity cases on Reddit who fail at SS loop or leave Maxwell with a few thousand HP. Every little bit of damage is gonna help, so why gimp yourself from the start? Damage is the main reason I advised having some status removal for Maxwell (Injury). No reason to do lessened damage if you could fit status removal/immunity.

I'll admit, I got Rowgen to SBB 6 and that by itself took chunks off the enemy hp bar. Thanks to [MENTION=6037]Dark Link[/MENTION]; , 1 squad was much better mostly because I already have 2 units at sbb 10 and those two were viable for sbb 10. I think Tia and Rowgen weren't that important but nevertheless, yay! ^^

After many, many trash pulls (and mostly trash typing to boot), the BF gods have finally deigned to look on me with favor and give me what I wanted:

Mmhmm. Raised him up for that express purpose (if we ever get some new content -itch-).

I did have a Lord Eric before this one, but I fused it away because I kept hearing about how bad he was. Was kind of sad after that when I realized he's really not that bad, so I was pretty happy when I pulled a second one.

I built my first team of all 6* Units today that I have enough cost. With all these connection errors I can't farm fodder to unlock Ardin's SBB

I did have a Lord Eric before this one, but I fused it away because I kept hearing about how bad he was. Was kind of sad after that when I realized he's really not that bad, so I was pretty happy when I pulled a second one.

That's how I felt when I fused my SGX......except I never got another one. I have an Orna but still. I wouldn't have been farming for amanohadokens if I knew the potential. ;-;
