Apparently the reason for a clip-show episode is because when they were developing Book 4 Nickelodeon cut an entire-episodes worth of budget and they were faced with the choice of either having a filler episode or letting some of the employees go, so close to the end.

It would have been royally shitty to let crew members go so near to the end of the series run, so yeah, a light-hearted filler episode is fine by me.

the first 2 parts were meh, but Varrick's story telling was almost like an abdriged series

It really baffles me why Nick would pomegranate on one of their most popular shows like this. They're becoming the new Cartoon Network, I swear.

Nickelodeon has made a LOT of stupid decisions. Some of their newer programming makes me wonder if they're trying to get shut down.
Also, Cartoon Network has recovered since the CN Real era, thankfully, so at least it won't be a problem. Granted they still do make dumb decisions but nowhere near on par with Nick's.
