Why keep on putting so much work on content that can only be accessed/completed by 1% of the playerbase is beyond me.

Because that 1% of the playerbase pays 99% of the game's revenue.

Just now a Maplestory BJ managed to pass the 1st phase of Suu and see Suu himself. The lasers that took 90% of the difficulty in the 1st phase did not spawn by a chance of luck and dmg capped Phantom, Dawn Warrior, Xenon plus 2 bishops and a mechanic destroyed the core within 17 min.

Looks like the pattern is hard as hell and the time limit and DC is shared with the 1st phase.

Edit: His 2nd phase has skills that deal 210000000 damage... which is a definite instadeath

also binding skills work on him.

I swear these mofo bosses are created taking the asian playerbase into account ONLY.

Its like they expect players to fight these bosses with the same amount of skills and traninig that'd it take to play starcraft. (plus your soul's worth in NX)

I thought this was the kind of active, entertaining, impossible-to-faceroll boss we were all clamouring for. It certainly looks like it anyway. HP might be a problem but this is KMST, so anything goes so far.

I can't tell, which one is even the instakill attack in phase 2?

And it would appear that MS has been borrowing Vindictus/Mabinogi Heroes' composers. Same "movie trailer" style music.

I think it's somewhere around 1:52, the one that looks like a horizontal lightning bolt that does upwards of 14m damage(?)

Doesn't look very easy to dodge at all...

Apparently, tossing pomegranate around the map that can kill you in 1-2 hits whilst fighting a high-HP boss that can kill you easily equates to challenging now.

It is. Until Nexon actually delivers, then they start bitching about it.

Maplestory community's fickle as pineapple.

Yeah it's totally the exact same people bitching one as the complete opposite.

It's just a sad fact that there's no way to make this kind of "fight" good in maplestory without utterly redesigning the game from the ground up. The mechanics just aren't built to allow the kind of delicate movement you need for this kind of thing.

The rotating electric field would be enough of a mechanism to keep me sated. It rotates slowly enough that people that suffer from lag and poor latency can still participate in the battle, while at the same time feel as if they are not working on a punching bag. I am unable to Magnus because I am unable to perform the fine movements described in the post above. So the addition of that mechanism, for me, makes this content slightly disappointing.

I think having the falling things stun is too far. If they stun, have them fall wayyy less frequently.

Everything else looks good. It'll need a full party of capping people with insanely good control to take down, it looks like.
Good luck to whoever tries.

The problem isn't even the damage of all the boss attacks or the crap falling down, its the amount of defense and HP the boss has, making it so you need a ridiculous amount of power(NX) to just consider fighting it. I mean, it is not simply "avoid the boss attacks while you attack him for 20 mins and it will go down", its "you can't hit damage cap right now? Then pineapple off you're not worthy".

i guess defense and Max HP doesnt matter in this game anymore.

Seriously, when will there be a boss where those two stats matter, instead of things dealing a % of your health?
I dont mind potion cooldowns with a boss fight like that (just so there can be a little more of a challenge).
But nexon might as well set everyone's health to 100 when fighting bosses like this and get rid of defense.
