What will be unavailable:

• All MapleStory game servers.
  

Changes and Updates:

• MapleStory will be updated to v.156.2.0
  
• Damage skin effects are now applied to any damage over time effects. (Ex. Poison, Bleed)

This has been bothering me for a while. Glad it's being fixed even though there's been no mention of it in the past.

Well dang, that's awesome news. Both for my Kanna and my Blaze Wizard (who I recently applied the Dragons Fire Damage Skin to)

Oh, neat. Although I kinda like it as is because it makes it easier to differentiate between DoT and any other form of damage.

This is odd... isn't it already 10 am est or 7 am pst? shouldn't the SC start by now? or im missing something?

I was kicked off at 7am and can't get back on, getting the "maintenance or bad internet" message.
(I know the Server Status page is green, that's because our monitor hasn't been updated following yesterday's restructuring of Nexon's network.)

Nexon's official status checker even says everything's up, yet I still can't launch.
The maintenance notice just redirects me to maplestory.nexon.net too.

it's probably against the rules to ask for the new login server IP/port so i'm not asking but i'd just like to mention i have PM's :^)

The website seems broken. Empty fields and error messages when trying to view certain pages from the website, like the maintenance announcements and special promotions.

It's never been reliable for crashes, but usually it did say when they had a maintenance. Especially a scheduled one.
Right now the Play button is active, their status checker sometimes says certain channels are "down" (first time I've seen their red color, lol), the minor update notice has disappeared...
No idea what all is going on.

I think the login server addresses haven't been changed. I'm basing that on the fact that our status checker showed them as unreachable during yesterday's maintenance, and then reachable after it ended. I don't know for sure, though.

I know it's not reliable but it usually doesn't show everything online until they actually say it's online through the notice.
SP's checker seems to be back to normal now anyway (at least for the logins), so...

You're right; they weren't. They just showed as online for me in the middle of the downtime for some reason.

• The item Mutant Pork that can be given to the NPC Utah will now be consumed.
  
• A warning message has been applied before ETC items are removed from your inventory for the Thanksgiving Feast quest. Please check this post for a list of items the NPCs will take.
  
• The Premium Surprise Style Box reward list will be updated.
