kMS patch on Monster Carnival 2

Sn1perJohnE Wrote:this doesnt make much sense X_X if it were called "magic branch" and it dropped by pigs, id say wtp, but its a themed (by name) weapon from zakum, so logically, you would think that they plan to have it upgraded, or needed for some quest.

I mean, the lvls at which its even useful are quickly passed, so no one would be dumb enough to pay to cut the branch, or to buy it either, and we should really assume that Nexon isnt THAT dumb to make it an item like that.

well. first of all, the branch has nothing to do with quests.

about the levels being quickly passed.

kMS has thousands of all-INT cleric/priest/bishops
and, they are the richest jobs in kMS.

The release of Zakum's branch was to replace the wooden wand

The wooden wand is lv8 wand, and unfortunately

all-INT clerics need to level up until 35 to get their next weapon, the maple staff. You may argue that the funded can get LUK equipment, but the only LUK equipment availible for all-INT clerics are the lv 30-bath robe.

(There is no Showa in kMS, and the first overall availible is the bathrobe)

It's just like, the Musashi claw released with "Untradable" and you need to spend 2.7$ in order to make it tradeable.

and you may think that my opinions of "nexon a bastard just wanting to make money" such weird.

But, 4 years ago, kMS was a completely free game.
Cash items were only used for the "looks" because they would definetly look better than normal clothes.

However, the releases of

Gachapon(Pygmy eggs in Korea)
Aurora rings(+1 all stat for 1.9$ - 7 days)
Marriage Coupons(only way to get rings)

and.. the Karma's Scissors just made Nexon a bastard.

90% of kMS users are students. and, I myself am a junior-high student in Korea.

Do you realize that nexon is earning dirty cash from.. students?

Seriously, Nexon America milks its users for cash way more than Nexon Korea. Though I don't like the road KMS seems to be going down.

really tho, 8-35 is easy to get past, theres no reason for them to release it without some other purpose, and its a general rule that a business will move by any means legally to bring in cash. And if its legal, its not dirty, it may seem unethical, but theres no problem with it as long as it has some far reaching purpose. Its just dumb to release a low lvl weapon dropped from a monster that is killed mostly by people some 100 lvls above the equip. NO SENSE AT ALL D:

Edit: now im expecting "Fact: Nexon makes no sense (mind explodes)"

What the pineapple? How does a wand that drops from Zakum help a lukless mage level to 35? You can't even Zakum until level 50. If they wanted to profit off this, levelling from 10-35 shouldn't be so easy in the first place. I don't see why anyone to want to trade over a level 10 weapon with Karma Scissors.

There are many very well funded characters in Maple. When they start new characters, they wish for things to go as fast as possible. At early levels for LUKless magicians (until level 35 comes), they use wooden wands. Wooden wands are effective enough, but these rich Maplers (some of my guildmates make at least 300m/week), in order to speed things up, would buy a better wand for the level. The few thousand NX spent on the Karma's Scissors (through MTS) would be only be in 1x mil - a trivial amount for them. There would definitely be a market for these wands.

What I'm actually worried about now though would be the ability for account hackers to transfer over previously untradable items. Now they would have a reason not to leave your ZHelm / pendant intact.
