How was your day?
I downloaded Maplestory yesterday just to try it out again after a 2-3 year hiatus.
I realized it was dumb, irrelevant to my lifestyle. So I got rid of the client.
I had a wonderful coffee date with my girlfriend and the luxury of one of my professors giving me the test to take home for our first exam.

Feeling... frustrated.
I'm supposed to be looking for a job, and thinking about going back to university.. and I just cant. At all. It's like my mind is just actively blocking any attempt to think about it. It's been months since I've done anything. I'm just in a slump and i don't know what has caused it. I also haven't been exercising lately. I feel so lazy.
It doesn't help that my boyfriend, who does have a job and went to it today, then went home, exercised, and has been applying to universities all night. It's just like.. how does he get the motivation? and why can't I? Can I steal his power somehow? I should look into this.

Anywayyy, feeling super hyped for the Bayonetta 1 and 2 wombo combo bundle getting delivered this week!
The game has been getting near perfect reviews everywhere, and as a fan of the series i'm really happy to see it doing well. Nintendo is actually advertising the game well too!

Slightly embarrassing moment for myself today. Decided to go to the gym after class and because I came home sweaty and sticky, decided to take a shower. My logic at the time was that I'd be coming straight back to my room after my shower, so I propped my door open and went to the showers without my key or any pants, just my underwear and a shirt. Well, I come back and the wind blew my door closed. Rolleyes

This meant that I had to walk to the elevator barely clothed, go down to the lobby and get a new key while playing it cool with other residents and then go right back up doing the same thing. I have never been more fortunate that I wear boxers instead of briefs.

Yes I know that it isn't THE most embarassing moment that could've happened, but I'm kind of a conservative guy in terms of how I act and am. Pretty relieved that it ended as well as it did Rolleyes

I've been there too man, I've been there too.

I wanted to complain about having to have 3 days off next week, then I realized that my paycheck I will be getting on Halloween is going to be close to $500, so no complaints!

Also, I get annoyed when people get super offended by harmless (keyword here) costumes. Especially by someone who barely qualifies to be a part of the culture that is supposedly being harmed by the costume. :\

Planning to go on a cruise with some friends on my birthday in March, and preparing early. Also ordered some new shoes that should arrive friday, just got some new skincare items that I ordered in the mail (my old ones I used to use, the new ones I ordered a few weeks ago weren't nearly as successful at keeping my skin clear), and my new phone should arrive sometime this week! Other than that, I'll be traveling to College Station on the 31st to see my boyfriend again, and we'll be going to the A&M game on the 1st and a Halloween party the night before. I'm also going to try to get some shopping in this Friday with my best friend. And to top it all off, I'm getting my own apartment and living on my own which I'm very excited for! I have so much to look forward to in the upcoming month. Smile

WHAT. Small world, man. A&M has been my home for going on five years.

Well, since I had the impulse to respond I guess I better be on topic. Day great so far. Interviewing for a second job. Will hear back from them Friday. Also have a medical school interview at Baylor COM Friday, so I'm super pumped about that.

Yup.

I turned 21 on Monday, I spent most of it watching wrestling and Game of Thrones with my roommate, I had to explain wrestling to her though. Up until 3 that night and 5:30 last night ~_~

So, so far I've spent half of the day monitoring the situation in Ottawa atm with two of my closer friends living there.

I've heard back from one already as she was at home when the entire situation began. Her classes were cancelled so I know for sure that she's safe.

On the other hand, my other friend goes to UOttawa and I'm not sure as to what her class schedule looks like. Judging by the lack of response however, I feel as though she was at school at the time and she's still on lockdown (or just ignoring me, idk). Looks like the lockdown is just precautionary however, as the school's near Parliament Hill.

Quite honestly, this kind of thing infuriates me, the fact that this type of thing can happen in Canada as well as the fact that someone would just shoot a soldier at the pineapple-ing war memorial. From what I hear, the military personnel there are quite open to conversation with tourists and visitors and are quite used to people simply approaching them, and the fact that someone would just take advantage of that openness and exploit it... just pisses me off honestly.

A personal aside, I've wanted to go on a trip to Ottawa to not only meet up with my friends but also take in the sites of the city including Parliament Hill, and simply because of the events that transpired today, that puts a damper on some of these plans. A shame really, no way it's gonna be as open as it was before after today.

EDIT: looks like the UOttawa friend slept in today and missed her classes, so that's good.

The only places I can think of that're 2-3 hours away are like southern Houston, my hometown area (Cedar Park) and Dallas/Waco. That's awesome! Nice to meet a fellow Texan.

Pancake lives in Texas? Neat. I moved here just over a year ago myself. lol

So, my day consisted of thoroughly thinking about these acquisitions and whether or not I'll be good over the course of the next couple of months in terms of finance.

 Spoiler

This weekend is going to be one hell of a long weekend of waiting anxiously.

Spent the day with my boyfriend!
We went to starbucks, and to Game to get the shiny event Gengar from the pokemon event, and we went to pizza hut for a meal (which was amazingly delicious and fun) and looked around some shops and just generally hung out together Smile

Being with him is amazing. I don't think I've been this happy in.. ever. I look at him and smile and he catches me looking and he pulls a funny face and makes me laugh and arghh he's so funny and sweet and handsome and I can't believe how well this is going.

JKJK, but congrats Kevin & good luck! Smile

Starting to give up hope that UT will actually finish reviewing my application for Spring semester. Put in my spring semester class request at UTSA, perks of being an SI is I get 1st pick over everyone regardless of hour classification. Signed up for Modern Physics, Lab, Classical Mechanics, Mathematical Physics, and Fundamental of Astronomy. That Astro class SOUNDS like it's an easy intro class, but the description sounds hard core; "Among the topics covered are the celestial sphere, basic orbit theory, stellar parameters, binary stars and light curves, and basic introduction to stellar spectral classification." Yea I'm kinda worried about course load, but for the Astro minor I gotta get this stuff under my belt eventually.

Of course, if I get into UT all of this is moot because after Physics 2 the degree plans completely diverge in terms of course requirements.

P.S. I hate chemistry.

Has been quite a day, with some house viewing (long story short, things at home have been decided to be better with separating, and so a place for self has been found, but the other party still requires a place) with some of them being very nice.

Then there was work, long ordeal, but then the real thing came through when I got home, somebody very important to me reported the passing away of a close relative, and so I am concerned and a little rattled for now.

Had Bayesian data analysis midterm just now. Grad level course. Open notes and open textbook.

That's going on my list of top 10 easiest exams I've ever taken. Lmao what a joke.
