Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion
Hypermug Wrote:So uh. Is there a glitch or something with Villager's Lloid rocket or am I just not understanding how it works?

Was fighting a villager online with Mario. He used Lloid rocket to recover and we were both near the ledge. I used my cape and instead of it reflecting, I went from 40% to 140% and died immediately. Was pretty demotivated after that garbage.

Edit: Ahaha, goddammit.

Oh wow. And I already thought Villager was a pretty stupid character

This is an accessory which was released for the NES outside of Japan. Now, this image is edited, but it's a scene from the secret fighter's reveal video.

Guess that confirms a Duck Hunt and Bowser Jr. reveal video tomorrow in the direct.

I decided to try out For Glory today. I won all 5 matches I played. I'm trying to main Samus, but so far I've won as :

Samus vs. Dedede
Samus vs. Shulk
Mario vs. Dark Pit
Captain Falcon vs. Little Mac
R.O.B vs. Megaman

The experience is definitely much better than Brawl, that's for sure. Lag isn't so much about delay/latency in attacks like it was in Brawl and more about frame dropping, which isn't quite as bad. It slows down matches quite a lot, but it's still entirely playable.

I can't wait for my New 3DS LL to arrive next week, so I can start using the C-Stick for better spaced aerials and easier Smashes.

The 'freeze' you guys are experiencing is the mechanism in place to avoid desyncing. Back in Brawl if two people lagged, it'd still send and receive packets to players but if it delayed it'd fill it with garbage or send them later/delayed which led to desyncing. Smash 4 solves this by freezing both of you so the packets can be sent without desyncing. If the game freezes too much it eventually drops it as 'No Contest'.

Anyway.

Free DLC too! That's seriously such good news. So much hype.

Free if you buy two games isn't free, Rolleyes.

My friend has the 3DS game and I plan on buying the Wii U. I'm assuming that the same account must have both games. Sad

I'll gladly pay for Mewtwo separately if I can. I hope that what they mean is that the DLC is free if you have both versions, but paid otherwise. I wouldn't mind that.

Then again I might not have to, since my boyfriend is getting the 3DS version and i'm getting the Wii U version, if we can sync them up we are golden.

Any changes to Smash Run?

Arrol Wrote:Any changes to Smash Run?

Smash Tour is exclusive for Wii U Smash. Smash Run is for 3ds Smash only.

Smash Run isn't in the Wii U version, it's exclusive to the 3DS version. It's replaced by Smash Tour, which is board game mode.

Also i'm still editing my post with cliff notes, so keep looking back Tongue
