I am seriously excited about season 4, specially with the time skip. It's going to be a good end of the year.

waiting for Kuvira to show signs of mental instability and craziness but it's just the first episode and we know she betrayed suyin. Also if someone could get a clear capture of the contract she gave the old man and a clear. Capture of the banner, I'd be grateful. Kuvira's name in Chinese characters is on the banner and I wanna see what's her title on the banner. Probably Uniter(統一...） Also Korra ran away from home...
Ok found the stuff. In the contract apparently says she's from the 金族which means gold clan...(Chinese I found on avatar wiki ).. Also some people are speculating she can bend platinum because in the trailer we see Korra drowning in some sort of liquidy metal. Could be the earth bending equivalent to blood bending.

I'm pretty sure Kuvira's got the bandits on her payroll, she's waging a covert war of attrition against the Earth Kingdom towns, starving them of resources so they have no choice but to join her. I can't judge her without knowing her endgame, sometimes people do bad things for good reasons, that being said, she's clearly antagonistic and I was really hoping she wouldn't be bad. That probably puts Bolin on the wrong side, again.

I wonder what's going on with Korra and how long it'll take everyone else to find her, snap her out of this. Oh, unless Toph is the catalyst.

Are we gonna get flashbacks from the 3 missing years?

Can't wait for more episodes.

My boyfriend had seen The Last Airbender but wasn't sure about watching Korra. I sent him a link to watch it online and he marathoned the entire series and he really loved it. The first episode of book 4 is out now but i'm going to hold off on watching it so we can watch it together, likely sometime next week

This episode reminds me of real life politics.

Kuvira is going the Fascism route and Korra is being MIA and lost (in the Xmen 1 Wolverine kind of way- fighting to make money/ getting beat up on as much as possible and tanking hits).

Interesting start to the series. I believe the Contract states something about Kuvira being a temporary/interim president for the kingdoms.

It'd be really cool if Toph was the catalyst. I will be pretty disappointed if Toph doesn't show up by the end of this season. A meeting between her and Korra has practically been built up since early Season 3.

Turns out it ain't the same guy tho.

Suddenly I feel things are going fast. I expected episode 2 events a little later down the road. Still, really nice.

Pretty nice episode imo.
Felt like nice visualization of what depression is like in a way.

It makes me re-enter my cable provider information every other week. I think their site just sucks.

This episode was alright. Kuvira was expected. Not enough Toph, although what Toph we got was awesome. Seemed like this episode was more makeup for last episode being completely based on Korra.

Bolin was so awesome with his lava bending... Kuvira really is actually a personification of Hitler. Reeducation camps...

Seriously, Kuvira is shaping up to be a really good villain.

I just hope Balin gets to escape soon, he is my favorite character and his lava bending is simply awesome.

I doubt she really turned against him, I have a pretty strong feeling that it's just a ploy. But then I wonder if Kuvira can detect lying or, if she can, if it's shrouded by her ego.
