Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion

Sakurai Wrote:Pic of the day. PAC-MAN makes an appearance on the PictoChat 2 stage. We've included this as an element from Pac-Pix, which was released in 2005. It was quite revolutionary.

Absolutely nothing of the day.

Well, crappy pic of the day aside... guess what today marks guys? We're in the single digits for the game's release! Only 9 more to go. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE Frown

I'm still on the fence if I should get the 3DS version or not. Mostly just waiting for the Wii U version to come out.

I wish the demo had more characters the more coins you had. It could be like one character per 10k coins. I'm so bored of playing 2 minute 1v1 with the CPUs and when I ask my friends to play they're all like "Why don't we just wait until the full game comes out? It's only x days away!".

Sad

Oh yeah. 9 days until Smash 4 comes out and the tournament sign-ups close.

I say go for it. You should buy both that way you get the special OST and possibly any special Wii U <-> 3DS link content.

With how much I play smash as it is I'm just getting both. The thought of being able to play with others without needing to set up a console, or being able to play on my breaks at work / at conventions / anywhere on the fly is pretty damn cool. The Wii U version can be for when I'm at home or have company over.

That's weird...but I dunno.

If you consider how the announcer says Murabito when you select him...the crowd doesn't say it even remotely similarly (The announcer definitely says Murabito in a weird way though, but that's the voice so...).
But I doubt Japanese is different from English in that regard - plenty of ways to say the same word/name.

That being said, it doesn't really mean anything. We all know that there were intentions of bringing Ice Climbers into the game from the start and it "didn't work out." Could easily be a bug where the wrong file is referenced for the crowd chant and they didn't remove the file in the release build, or someone made a mistake and put the wrong file into the release build. Or it's just a different way to pronounce the name. As much as I wish there were any signs that Ice Climbers would be in the Wii U version or as DLC, this isn't one.

Didn't like playing the demo. Playing smash on a 3DS feels way too weird. Definetely waiting for the Wii U release.

If the 3DS (XL) is uncomfortable, consider getting a grip for your device.

Can't believe the announcer really is in his early 20s.

Sakurai Wrote:Pic of the day. We've prepared many hats for Mii Fighters...but a lot of them are humorously designed, so it might be hard to coordinate them with flair. You could, of course, choose to not wear the hats at all... It makes me wonder--how is everyone planning to dress up their Mii Fighters? Well, one thing is for sure: the ninja headband worn by the Mii in front should look good with anything.

Things escalated quickly once she pulled a "The Ring" out of the TV.

That was the most interesting looking thing from Game & Wario, pretty cool that they made it a stage.

It's tame when compared to other stuff, but for a Nintendo IP this is pretty creepy stuff. The atmosphere, the tense music, the idea itself. also keep in mind that when playing that game the player is playing mini-games on the game pad, increasing the suspense even more.
