Holy crap

Anyone else noticing that the demo's taking a little longer to open/close than other games? Even going to the Home menu, there's a noticeable delay, and when I close it from there, it actually says "Please Wait" and then goes to a black screen before returning to the menu with the demo closed.

Monster Hunter 4 does the same thing.

I think it has something to do with the performance of the game. Maybe the game forces off most of the firmware except the bare minimum (IE the front screen). The console definitely resets after the game is shut off, and needing to reset the firmware would explain that.

Both games run with exceptional frame-rate even with the 3D on, something almost every other game fails at. There's definitely something behind the scenes going on there. Don't be surprised if ORAS do the same thing if the frame-rate issues from X/Y are fixed.

That's a horrible idea. Why compete with yourself? Two extremely popular games being released by the same company on the same exact day has bad idea for sales written all over it.

I know that, but there's 4 weeks between then, and a week between before Black Friday. They could release on Black Friday, or any other week...but the same exact day is a bad idea.

Also, news for release dates have been out for months. People who wanted these games should have the money saved up by now. And if they don't have money, now is the time to save up.

Oh my god where is the shield stun? Not even Brawl had non-existent shield stun. Pikachu combo breaks EVERYTHING with his instant Thunder.

havent got to play yet(not till monday) and want to playtest all the characters before final judgment(my characters i use in each game were never consistent with versions (64: Pikachu, Link. Melee: Doc, Marth, Falcon, Brawl: ROB, PM: Mewtwo, Ivysaur, Wolf). As of the current moment, Shulk has my highest preference, followed by ZSS

Last year it was Super Mario 3D World, Mario Party: Island Tour and A Link Between Worlds.

Probably Peach, Yoshi, and Falco as usual, then Rosalina, Bowser, Lucina, Robin, Bowser Jr, and Duck Hunt

I plan to main Peach too, as I always have.

With such a large roster, I'll dabble with a few more characters. Got my eye on Lucina and Ike for now.

I'm going Lucario just as I did with Brawl, but now there are so many secondary canidates to choose from. I want to try out Rosalina, Greninja, Robin, Wii Fit, Junior, and Charizard. Along with the characters I've always played as, Link and Fox.

i can see myself rolling greninja/robin/metaknight edit: how could i forget sub-zero suit samus

with a side dish of cptnfalcon/Dr Mario, and we'll see what about duck hunt dog and charizard

I'd wait before acquiring. I'm hoping they have a bundle deal with smash + GC controller adapter + Wii U + controller for like 250 or something on black friday. VERY likely they get outright bought in the first hour though if Black Friday is anything like we've seen on the news.

Otherwise I might go for a refurbed Wii U + smash/adapter/Controller combo pack. which is close to $300.

Also Plan on looking into Shulk/Ike/Ganon/Robin in terms of new mains with a side of Bowser Jr. But Lucario is my favorite still. I think Shiek is gonna be a beast in this game though, so I might consider her as well.

Robin for sure.

I'll probably main Peach and Mr. Game and Watch as I did in Brawl. Rosalina, Pac-Man and Villager are the ones I want to try the most.
