Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion
Justin Wrote:Or 20 hours of total VS. match game time. (You could cheat this by plugging in 4 remotes and leaving the game on with 4 human players for 5 hours)
Haha, I remember just doing the 300% mode one stock to get him.

Sounds like they're referring to the Multi Man mode, not actual Mii Fighters in matches.

I'm leaning towards them being fake as pomegranate. Most of those are farrr too specific to certain characters and are just outright weird. Rolleyes Stage unlocks might be weird like that, as they have been in the past, but character unlocks? I.... really doubt it. :|

That actually does make a lot more sense. Who knows though. Where is this info even coming from?

Even 1000 matches can be "cheated" by going to special smash with stamina, flower and 1 hp. The match will end instantly, and then you restart the match until you finished unlocking everybody or you die of boredom.

Where else but Gamefaqs! (specifically a so-called leaker)

It's probably fake, but damn it gives us something to talk about right.

Why would you want an adventure mode when you have Smash Run™?

The last few ones weren't too bad. Only the Smash Run one was lame.

Lozmaster Wrote:You used roy as an example. Really? You're aware it's a third party character , not... Captain toad that we're discussing.

Nintendo has no reason to "build a relationship" by adding a character in smash with platinum of all people. They'll make games for whoever is throwing money around, because that's how that company works.

And yes, there is an "arbitrary" limit to third party characters. This might blow your mind, but have you heard of this thing called "money?". People use it for transactions of goods and, in this case, property i.p.
Specifically, no--one is going to give nintendo use of characters for free, and will have signed this thing called a "contract" between them and nintendo whereby nintendo gives some of this "money" to them to use the character in Super Smash bros.

Also: Sticking a bunch of third party characters almost at random sure did great for playstation smash bros.
Your point being? Nintendo has just as much stake in Bayonetta 2 as it does in Fire Emblem.

But, yes, you're right. Nintendo does not need to build relationships with third parties. That totally has gone over so well for them in the past.

I think you're mistaken if you do not think some companies would lend characters for free out of a mutually beneficial arrangement. Something tells me Platinum Games may be one of those company.

Lookup the word "random" and tell me if Bayonetta matches that description based on the above.

1) How on earth do you compare FE to bayonetta that is ridiculous.

2) >would lend for free
>/funding bayonetta 2/

There's a smash boards thread about the playable demo I posted yesterday that is the final build.

Since the site is crashing and full of hype, i.e.:

IMO the key ones are the overall physics that will affect overall gameplay which include:

>ledge stalling may be impossible now? If you drop from the ledge and jump back up, you literally will just NOT grab it. It's like the ledge gains invulnerability to your grab for a certain time after you let go. DO NOT TAKE THIS OUT OF CONTEXT. I am not 100% sure I need to try it again on my 2nd go around but in my last match I basically lived on the ledge trying this out. There is a short and small window of time after dropping from the ledge that the ledge becomes "immune" to your grab.

>YOU CAN CANCEL RUN WITH SHEILD.

>The game still has a sense of floatiness to it that is present in brawl. It's definitely not like Melee where you drop like bricks.

>shield rolling is extremely fast and there's a neat little sparkle star effect when you do it and acting out of shield is as well. I think of it like a mini-wave dash. No wave dashing or l-cancelling. Just rolling baby.

>there is no Melee dash dancing. It's incredibly hard to do with the circle pad but it's essentially the same thing as brawls. IE not super useful or practical.

note 4 is the one that brings together the technical players and the more casual players, as now there is a middle ground for retreats/approaches. Though I hope attack landing lag wont be as bad without L-Canceling. I'm more hyped about run canceling with shield though.

The temporarily "Ledge immunity" change is rather funny IMO. The ledge can just tell you to pineapple off for a bit.

Peach has a buffed peach bomber, but nerfed turnip grab...eh. At first he said she was unchanged? I was secretly hoping she'd be buffed back to melee levels.

Peach Master Race.

also wow, trying to look up info is damn near impossible because of all the pimentos throwing in fakes just for the sake of it. Dry Bowser alt! oh wait it's fake. Hilda alt for Zelda! wait no fake. Pyjamas Toon Link confirmed!, wait, deconfirmed.

Still though, one of the coolest things revealed so far is that Olimar does indeed have an Alph alt, and it changes his name and victory announcement like we were expecting. Which means it probably does for the 7 Koopalings too.
Apparently Peach has Daisy colours again but it isn't an alt, lame.

Also Fierce Deity Link. but apparently it's just a recolour, not an alt.

AKB48 Mii's come pre-loaded into the game? or that might be just Japan.

EDIT: Oh snap, Peach gets a Fire Flower dress (white and red) and a full Black dress. Gothic Peach for main, oh god.

EDIT: Charizard Alt: White body and purple wings:

Don't be pineappleing stupid. I didn't say no need to build relations with third parties. I said this specific third party. Literally any other third party would be a better choice if that was the reason for including things in smash. Hell, even any other platinum character would be a better choice, because they don't even own the bayonetta i.p. , Sega does. And of COURSE nintendo is letting them use nintendo i.p. to try and boost sales, they already paid for everything in B2s development. It's not the same way round because last I checked, it wasn't an exclusive to platinums console (because it doesn't exist and they're software makers...)

pineapple, if putting nitendo references in a game that's nintendo exclusive is all it takes to get into smash, I can't wait to play as Chase mcain,

Locked Wrote:So 3DSes with circle pad pros will be able to use the second stick as a C-stick.

Yeah. Apparently it turns out this isn't true after all (if I'm not completely failing to understand the below japanese). Smash 3ds doesn't support the circle pad pro. What the hell nintendo?
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/hardware/a...index.html

(Last line is something about Super smash bros not being supported).
