Haha, on that album of leaked images, the very first image, you can see a word just about printed on the 3DS. "Positivo"?

Wikipedia says Positivo is an electronics company in brazil...

So the leaker might have given away where they work, lol, they're fucked.

Not that it matters now but I thought they were like, additional costumes (such as the bowser jr thing), rather than full fledged characters, I have to say I'd be disappointed. I feel kind of bad though, like I opened a Christmas present early :|

It's a mixed bag, really. It'd only be a month later until someone leaked the roster from the Japanese version anyway, and I don't think many people would have qualms about it then. But I guess it's the principle of the matter.

And I look at it this way. There's still a monumental amount we still don't know about the game. Even the reveal of the entire roster is a mere taste when we're taking about a game of Smash's legacy.

The entire roster wasn't leaked. Leaker had not unlocked every character.

Leaking something post-release isn't really a leak now is it? It's more like a spoiler, and sakurai DOES NOT like spoilers. He would sue people who put up cutscenes of subspace emissary on youtube if he could.

It wouldn't be released in the states, and we wouldn't be able to find it for ourselves unless we intentionally sought it out through sources other than the offcial. So I suppooooose? it's more of a spoiler? I don't think Sakurai would have released all of this info by September; it really is inevitable.

How far out of the way did you have to look to find the leak? I've seen people unintentionally spoilering themselves just by frequenting tumblr. No doubt it's all over reddit, along with any other discussion based website. Facebook and twitter are the biggest hub for smash bros info these days so honestly you would probably find it more easily on unofficial places unless the smash bros website is the first thing you look at when you wake up lol.

Regardless, sakurai does not approve.

I heard there's supposed to be a direct soon with information? Planned to happen regardless of leak of course. Probably not releasing THIS much info, but a lot of info nonetheless. The april direct was huge for information about the game so this one should be even bigger.

I think the most important thing we have yet to know is the release date for the wii u version.
