Holy pomegranate, pineapple Volt! Guy was impossible until I grinded to make Ludger learn Rapid Burst so I could spam Bullet Fiesta with Alvin, and even then he was a complete peach and a half.

Not entirely sure, but i did a Elle quest last night which i think was the lost item one and im like 25. Some of these i definitely havent seen though. Do they all give Accessories?

e: is it making the game harder for yourself if you use someone other than Ludger in battle? I wanna play Leia again but i feel like the games been designed to play Ludger due to the non staggering on enemies if you dont hit them with the right weapon.

Those are chapter ranges. I'll try adding the rewards too. The Meeting with Julius quest also lets you find a cat, which is unobtainable otherwise.

Ludger is EZMODE. Some areas can be "unplayable" as a different character. I know there are certain maps that are completely resistant to Strike, so it's really hard for Jude and Leia there if you can't get an element off first. You only need to hit the weakness once and then you can combo with any other damage type, so Ludger can be AI, or a different character can trigger the weakness altogether.

I haven't tried out a few of his attacks yet, but most of them are pretty solid.

ooookay, I am PASTING the enemies in Helioborg, but the BOSS literally 2 or 3 shots any one of my characters! What the hell is with the difficulty spike! This is ridiculous. Any suggestions on what the pineapple to do? No amount of grinding will really fix this on hard mode. >_>;

He's one of the hardest enemies in the game to be honest, based on where he is compared to his aoe capabilities and damage and attack speed. Have you tried turning off semi-auto and just kiting him for hours with Ludger and guns? It will take forever but it should work.

There's special armor for each character from the bonus dungeon crafting that rates it has highest with the auto-equip. Typically have the highest defenses, but depending on the character, there may be something that is better situationally, i.e. with elemental resistances available.

I made the mistake thinking it was weak to Earth earlier, when it's weak to Shot. Linking with Alvin for Shot link artes is probably the easiest way to deal high damage. Rolling Thunder is pretty strong as is. Deadeye is a good option too at 400 Dark/Water, and better than Rapid Burst for activating Bullet Fiesta since it does Shot instead of Fire/Wind. Elize's Deadly Gaze can help too.

alright, I'll try levelling up 2 or 3 more times and use the guns on my next attempt. I had been using dual swords the whole time so that might help a ton.

I tried Dual Swords a couple of times, but a lot of his attacks are definitely not melee friendly. My sister, who was Jude, ended up playing the "Healer" game to keep Elize and myself alive.

OK, how in the pineapple do you beat Snow Cougar EX? I've been managing everything else on hard but I can't even beat him on easy 30 levels over what I was for every other EX elite. How do I stop his 5K+ damage permanent map aoe? I managed to combo him down to about 10% HP but he automatically enters that state at that point if he isn't already in it.

Hammer seems to be the most powerful for everything but fights where you are gimped if you aren't at range, it has a lot of aoe with ailments and high stun with decent speed with the right skills activated. For a lot of fights I can just spam Hammer Flail and jugglestun them for long periods of time, Flame Tunnel does pretty good damage, Wave Smasher has amazing guardbreak, and Freezing Eruption seems to be aoe/tracking/seal/stun/midrange, one of the better Arcanes in my opinion.

They can use Flash Guard, but I don't think they're very good at it. Hammer's crowdcontrol is good. Hungry Hunter, and knockdown in general, can carry a lot of tough battles.

I suck at aerial-based characters, unfortunately. I use Ludger/Gaius/Elize/Leia in main group but only switch between the first two, usually with Elize as their link, though Gaius' link is really good for hard fights, just like everything else about him.

Apparently I'm gonna need about 6.7K grade before I can NG+, I only have 5.1 at the moment, but I haven't maxed any affinities yet so thats almost half of that right there. I've just been farming bonus dungeon for money, converting to poker chips, and buying tons of friendship potions, as well as linking with characters with lower affinities. Then I have another 150 in a few more dispatches, only need 3 more cat items and 2 more cats.

Is there anywhere to view the SP bonuses gained from specific monsters? I wanna know what monsters I should be killing, a few characters are still having SP issues.

I don't believe it shows the specific amount until you get the bonus itself.
